I.... I have no words.... this may be from years ago, but the game... and the music... still has a place in my heart... this music is my personal favorite
sarah knight I never did play the game. I don't remember how I discovered this song, but it was the greatest accident ever. Glad I'm not the only one still listening to it.
I feel the same way Sarah. I actually looked up this song remembering how great it went with the game, and I'm glad I did. It's an incredible soundtrack that stands out in my opinion. Definitely underrated and missing it's rightful recognition.
You know, as I first played World of Goo, I was a little skeptical. At first, it seemed like a cute, little puzzle game. Then I played it more and more an it became harder and more challenging as well the story got deeper and deeper. Especially MOM. Although she was a Computer Programm, she felt so human-like in a very emotional way. And then the ending came and I realized something: Getting this game was the best desicion I ever made. The creator knows how to make games. Respect.
It isn't a game when it inspires you anymore, is it? When the words amount to more than just lines of text. When the music tears at your heart and makes you want to change something. When the game makes you want to do something- it has established itself as art.
OH MAH GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOd
Indeed this is a triple A soundtrack there is no question about it. I red previously that the composer had many inspiration from Ennio Morricone and other legendary soundtrack composers. I can even recognize one of Morricone's great work from "The Mission" at the end of the track at the bells. Absolutely amazing stuff.
