I am wondering if they have your king, James, Eibel and NIV Bible on a audio player that would be nice because I listen to both of your Bible versions King, James and NIV and I love them both
it's hardly untold. On the contrary, many people are eagerly waiting for you to hear it & will tell you themselves, just as Lewis did, on and on and in various forms.
many of my ancestors were German Protestants who settled in SE Ga before the Revolutionary War - I wonder who or where I would be if not for Martin Luther
Would love to hear covers from Petra (Beyond belief) or The Call (I still Believe) those songs remind me of C.S. Lewis speaking of The Almighty Jesus Christ!
There are convert stories really worth telling…but most certainly not this one. Poor financial investment, dear Christians! Can hardly believe your movie will convert three souls…Very boring, mediocre acting, super slow movie… (fell asleep twice). Just watched till the end because of the soundtrack by Craig Armstrong!
"But the really pernicious image is Goethe’s Mephistopheles. It is Faust, not he, who really exhibits the ruthless, sleepless, unsmiling concentration upon self which is the mark of hell. The humorous, civilized, sensible, adaptable Mephistopheles has helped to strengthen the illusion that evil is liberating." --C.S. Lewis, in his original preface to _The Screwtape Letters_
Great performance, although I think Lewis would object to Screwtape being portrayed as a Mephistophiles-like gentleman devil. In his afterword for The Screwtape Letters, Lewis criticized the image and said it feeds into the lie that evil is liberating. I haven't seen the rest of this performance, but it would be awesome if Screwtape gradually fell apart as the play went on until his true corrupt, vile, tattered face was revealed.
Please come back to the southeast! I saw Screwtape on Stage in Jacksonville and The Great Divorce Onstage in Charleston and haven't gotten to see another play!
LOVED IT! --- Watched this movie on Amazon Prime last night and was deeply moved. What a wonderful portrayal of the events, circumstances, relationships, and thinking that the Lord used to bring C.S. ("Jack") Lewis to not only believe in Jesus, but to follow Him! --- Included many interesting details I'd never known that also played a part in God's faithful work to bring this brother into His Kingdom -- yes, resisting, but forever grateful & glad! --- Thank you so much for producing this inspiring production!
