One thing I noticed is that the ai isn't very good at this, you can actually notice them let in more balls than usual, I'm pretty sure they behave worse here than in the trophy challenge even, it would actually be a lot harder if they didn't tweak the ai to be weaker or start everyone off with just 10 points.

dropping in to leave some advice and encouragement that may be helpful for others struggling with this stage! it's a real tough one, im working on 100 percenting the game right now and it was one of the last a ranks i attempted, but i was able to pull through despite being pretty convinced i never could. and i dont believe myself to be a particularly exceptional player lol, so hopefully this can help others in my same position :) first and foremost, expect for it to take a while. this stage requires a lot of practice and repetition and familiarity with the level. take it easy, and take a rest if youre getting frustrated or tired. it took me 2 or 3 days' worth of consistent play sessions to finally land the a rank (busted through at LEAST 50 lives too lmao) so if youre like me and haven't cleared the level before, it's gonna take a while. i just kinda chilled and grinded out attempts while listening to youtube videos in the background, and did my best to not get too emotionally invested in each attempt knowing it would likely die out you might want to try playing the mission 1 of this stage and attempt to not hit the walls there, taking note of where your problem areas are. this way you can be sure to go fast on the parts that give you little trouble and slow down in the areas where you tend to hit the walls most. for me, it was the big turn at 1:10 , the sharp turn at 1:28 , and of course those evil narrow zigzag tunnels toward the end. in those areas, i hit the brake and from there held the a button down for smaller spurts of time to make sure i got through with no issue. the time limit for a rank isn't toooo tight here so you can afford to sacrifice some seconds during the hard parts to avoid hitting the walls. and you absolutely dont have to match the speed/maneuvering skill of the person in this video, theyre on another level entirely lmao good luck to anyone reading this! it's a grueling mission but super satisfying to finally complete, and with enough patience you'll pull through eventually :)
I currently have 171 emblems. I’ve been grinding for the past couple months trying to 100% this game. I never did when I was younger. I’m so close I have all these to do and then all of crazy gadget. Wish me luck these last few have been pretty tedious and difficult.

If this game gets a remaster, they should expand the roster similar to Nitro Fueled, have the arena skins interchangable with the crystal challenge skins, add an online mode (of course), and nerf the cheating AI in the relic challenges. I would love to see a couple other categories of minigames as well, as these ones can get repetitive after a bit.
I got 2:99:99 as my time with just over 15, 000 points for that A rank... I started screwing up at the end and bumping into stuff on the easy go fast roads, lol. My heart was in my mouth at the end! I even backed up my save cause this mission was hell. ; D
I didn't know that pillar at 8:03 could be pulled down pressing space. I thought the red switch was supposed to pull it down, the game bugged and I got stuck. With all the walking around trying to find a solution, my map time was 30 minutes.
this is probably the only stage in the game that i outright dislike like mad space and eternal engine and crazy gadget suck when you’re trying to A rank them but they’re not bad on their own. pyramid cave though, stopping to pick up keys to put in holes, those ghosts that bring you to a dead halt, the switch doors, the janky wall running, the 85 confirmed kill sniper E-1000 badniks hardscoping you. like damn dude
Fun fact: this was the first time in my life that I genuinely paused the game sat down, and thought of a plan, never a game has made me do that, never, I had no clue on how to kill the cyberdemon, I figured out eventually that you need to get the invulnerability, and the sensation was so good, doom is a great game
This game is fucking not fun dude "U suPoZZed tO DO tHe KaMPAign wiTH a frIEnd tO haVe fUn" NO, FUCK YOU DUDE, the game is actually PUNISHING YOU for playing alone and not having friends, what fucking game does that? So glad eurocom went extinct, they deserve it for coming up with this piece of shit
