Is there a torque spec for how tight to do up the shear bolt? does it want to be done up tight to clamp the two halves of the joint together or quite loose so it is only the shear bolt transmitting torque and not the extra clamping friction between the joint faces?
Thanks for that video. Guess what I'm doing this Easter weekend! The other thing I'll be doing is the fuel sediment bowl, just in case there's water in the system 🤨
Hi can these definitely lift 1 tonne on the loader? Also do they come with the option of either turf tyres or industrial? As it would be used on grass a lot.
Hi, Yes they will happily lift 1 tonne on the loader. There is an option of turf or industrial tyres. If you want to email me your contact details I can send you a quote. tractors@siromer.co.uk
Most tractors on any farm USA have a issue with the 3 pt arms staying constant ,,. Therefore This rake would be better as pull type with adjustable height on belt deck . to avoid hay wrapping on the belt..... power it higher up with powering coming from the left side only ,,. Use 24 inch wheels or larger to stabilize the belt deck , make them heavy to last the life of the rake
I have a flail mower but have only used it for very long grass / topping, not to get a close cut as in your video. I assume this is on it's lowest setting? Looks like a decent cut.
Yes, flail mowers are great machines, they are so versatile, you can cut your fields or gardens with them. The roller on the back will give your grass a striped effect when you’re doing a close cut.
well bit of an update below - ours is into its 3rd season has cut about 220km and to be honest its had one heck of bashing - but it still goes on - few repairs - great parts service! - but its reliable and gives a good finish - its value for money and we are well pleased
how do you know what rating of shear bolt to put in replacement if the original broke away in the paddock ?? Is there a preferred way to put them in eg nut at rear or front
A standard shear bolt is 10.9 so start with that and if you find it continually breaks change it for a 12.9. Normally put the bolt in from the back so it is looking at you, it is easier to catch the nut on this way.
I'm saving up ! Love everything about your company , the ethos is spot on ! Saw you peeps at GYS last year and promised myself I would try and support you .
Always ground the implement for safety or put appropriate support under it to prevent accidental grounding by hydraulic pressure loss or someone lowereing it by accident
found the fault - pto comes into contact with the support frame when fully offset and depressed to max for ditch work - hence shaft casing write off - fitted a stop to prevent max depression of the flail head and a new bearco shaft sleve - alls working well now - we hope!
