Most of us struggle with things breaking down every day/week/month or so!! If you own a car and house, you know what I'm saying. That I think is so unfair that innocent people have to spend $$$, priceless time and deal with crazy world out there in order to get things repaired. I have been learning things by dealing with all those issues myself, from You tube including other resources for over 2 decades that I think I should share back to help others! Goal is to start with DIY related videos and I may add different topics near future as I move forward on this RU-vidr journey!

These cells are called 18650. They are available all over, even in laptop batteries are made using the same cell. Just search online... pretty common cells that you can find pretty much in any portable rechargeable electronics.
Good Questions! The problem isn't in the ribbon, the true problem is in the actual panel/screen. No, this technique won't work with horizontal lines. You can tap the other side ribbon if you have lines on other side.
Good Video... I have A LOT of Ryobi Tools and I have had to did a few motor replacements lately. One in a circular saw and the other in a reciprocal saw. Pretty easy... but I had to do a couple of small mods due to the replacement motors not being exact fits. Other than that it was pretty easy. Bought replacement motors for 7 to 10 bucks. I did need to get a small gear puller for future rebuilds as I didn't have one when I needed it of course, so I had to get creative. One thing I did want to mention is... it's a good idea to do a tear down/inspection of Ryobi Tools because SOMETIMES not always the factory doesn't properly grease the wear points. My reciprocal saw didn't have ANY grease on the drive shaft that pushes the blade. Just amazing... other than that... I've always had pretty good luck with Ryobi Tools and saved a lot of money in the long run... Thumbs Up on the video. It's interesting how Ryobi is now using security bits (which I have) but haven't had to use them on Ryobi Tools yet. That's important information for folks that repair their own gear...
Very true about greasing tools...one thing I learned over the years... everything requires maintenance and they will last way longer if you maintain well. So yeah opening tools and cleaning them well and applying new grease will extend life so much in long run. I also install fan on my TV's on the back side to keep them cool as heat is #1 reason why most tv breaks. So I guess I will make one video on that too..I normally connect fan wires to USB Port on the TV itself so it only turn when you turn on TV and low on speed soo it not noisy enough to notice but enough RPM to keep tv main board cool. Thanks again for watching my videos...
Looks like a good unit but I'm in the Philippines and we use 220 volts. I did get a good tip from you regarding the importance of having a fan cooling unit. I'm a newbie at electronic repair due to necessity as there isn't many repair techs in my area., so I'm having to learn... at least the basic's. Thumbs Up !!
Glad this video helped someway... I'm sure they got different brands over there. I'm born and raised in India and know you can buy something similar in India too that works on 220w...just search variables power supply, I'm sure you will find something online there.
Thank you, here is the link:- Kungber DC Power Supply Variable with Memory, 30V 5A Adjustable Switching Regulated DC Bench Linear Power Supply with Memory Recall and Output Disable Button 4 Digits Display and Alligator Leads a.co/d/4zsVWKG
I am planning to make a detailed video on my power supply to help understand how exactly it works and how it's useful for pretty much anything. Meanwhile feel free to subscribe to help support channel.
I tried doing it to my Vizio today but no luck. I think both the ribbons are bad. I still had the vertical rainbow lines no matter which ribbon I switched to either side. And then the tape thing also didn’t work I tried on both of them. Probably need more patience but I don’t have that much 😅😂
Lol, yeah it's more of a luck type repair because you never know exactly where the problem is...you can try blocking more terminals to see if that helps since there is no clear indication which one would help. I only made video after I knew I was able to fix it until then it was just a matter of time :)
Great fix. Going to open mine up and see if I have the same issue. Mine's only charging through DC power, not charging via AC and can't even use the AC outlets. Getting overload error everytime I try using AC outlets. Do you have any thoughts on this particular issue on what the issue could be?
Definitely NOT a battery issue because like you said it's charging. So the battery portion is good. I'm pretty sure either some relay on main board or mosfet went bad. See if you hear click noise when you turn ac outlet on?
@@Xx_TheCuriousBrain_xX Yes there is a very noticeable, audible click when I turn the AC outlets on and the Overload text flashes. Would that be the mosfet?
So if you hear click, it means relay is good. Now seems like overlord message is preventing it to work like it's stuck on that message. Now I'm not sure how exactly it's programmed and what components trigger overload message. Maybe Google it to see if someone knows about it and maybe contact ecoflow directly if they have a way to reset it somehow?
Here is the link I found online, seems like it's a known issue and people couldn't figure out this issue yet...maybe contact ecoflow on this... checkout this link below: www.reddit.com/r/Ecoflow_community/comments/10funsh/overload_sign_on_display_heres_what_to_do/
These batteries should come with a balancing button or something, because with the use they get out of balance...Oviously, companies are not going to do that...
That's what BMS (battery management system) is for but it's not smart enough to only charge cells that are unbalanced. It basically stops charging when it detects unbalancing which I guess makes sense because there is no programming or processor that can calculate all that in these BMS. Now you know why expensive cars like Tesla are way advanced as it shows you individual cell voltage and you will know exactly what cells are bad etc.
Thank you! Subscribe if you haven't already and here is the link, that's the one I got but anything similar would do the work! This power supply help me so much, well worth it You can also use this to charge pretty much anything in your house:- Kungber DC Power Supply Variable with Memory, 30V 10A Adjustable Switching Regulated DC Bench Linear Power Supply with Memory Recall and Output Disable Button 4 Digits Display and Alligator Leads a.co/d/fVc3DCJ
Thank you for your step by step instructions. I need to buy a few tools first before I can assess the problem with my river flow but it seems like the same problem you have demonstrated here.
good video .but your video is not seo so your video is not getting views ,your need video (95+ seo score) If you SEO your video properly then your video will get a lot of views
I wonder if you might be able to fix that coloration problem by resetting the picture settings in the menu it's been 2 months since you uploaded this video I wonder if there any new updates about it cuz I do have a TV that I'm currently wanting to fix myself and this video has been the best one I have found yet
Thanks for your comment! No new updates, I can tell you that resetting TV or settings won't fix that discoloration as it's more related to actual panel (screen) so what I did in this video can just fix the vertical line but can't fix discoloration.
Question: I've charged individual cells to with .01. Each cell now has 3.88-3.99v. Put on charger and still blinking red. Any ideas. When tested, 10 cells were close to 3.31v. Battery is one year old. Any ideas on how to proceed?
Sounds like you are doing pretty well. Test total voltage of entire battery pack to make sure it's 70v + otherwise it's possible you might have missed some of the cell.
It's a 60v, 8ah. Total voltage is 58.3. It should work. This is my first time, but can't imagine it not working. I'm about to charge it up directly with another 60v fully charged battery. That's how I started the project. Started with no charge bars showing. After repeated charges, had three bars. Even worked in the riding mower when it was the only battery installed. Makes no sense to me.
Yes it doesn't make sense. Okay, so if it shows 58v, then technically it is close to full charge. Do a load test to see if it output fine...maybe use it for a little bit and then try to charge to see if the charger pickup. I don't remember on this battery model but normally BMS also has buttons to reset itself, maybe Google it on how to reset BMS, that might help. At this point, sounds like your battery is charged enough, BMS is being an issue now that's preventing to charge the battery.
Hello! Thank you very much for creating this series. I was able to take apart my little puppy...and after hooking up a multimeter all of my voltages = 4.04v. Reading the main board voltage = 20.4? I was hoping for a bad set of cells - but in my case, I have constant voltage. I am unable to turn on the machine...turns on then off. Any ideas on how to bring this back to life? Thank you again!!!
Thank you for the comment! Something doesn't line-up. They got 8S battery, so if you got 4v in each segment, then total voltage should be 32v or so not 20. Maybe check again, something doesn't seem right.
Sorry... battery voltage at the BMS = 31.92... the of things is that 31.92 is on initial startup of the BMS... if you come back afew minutes later... it shows 20.09? bottom line . i can't charge it.. and it will not turn on
Sounds like bad cells to me, when voltage with load drop and goes back up when there is no load. If you got bad cells, then charging individual cell won't help but you can confirm it by applying small load to each segment while using multi-meter to see if voltage stays same around 4v or drop or things doesn't work when you give small load. Just connect simply like small dc motor or light bulb or anything small dc power device on each segment to see if that works. I did the same in one of my hoverboard battery repair video, hope that helps!
I think you’re wasting your time. I think the some of those batteries are for the memory and eventually you’re gonna be back in the same position again soon.
Not sure what you mean by memory? Believe it or not, this video was posted 3-4 months ago and it's still working great for me and does full charge every time I use it. You could be right in other scenarios...
Quick Update on this Video:- I ended up buying the entire battery pack from AliExpress for $20 Only with Free Shipping from China. It just wasn't worth doing all the work when the battery was that cheap. It took 2 months for me to receive the battery, installed it and my hoverboard has been working great since then! If you're interested in watching that battery and process, let me know and I can document the same for you :)
Yes, I ended up making 3 parts. Part 2 is all about putting back everything together and part 3 is actual repair. Part 2 is set to go live on 5/17 and part 3 on 5/20. I can tell you that you will have to charge individual segments after testing with multi-meter....most likely you will have segment 1-2 bad as that's what was weak in mine.
Yeh logh samjh tay hai ki indians garibh hotay hai lekin asal mai yeh logh hi kafi garibh hotay hai waisay damaad ki apnay desh mai alagh hi level ki treatment hota hai yeh angrez ko feeling nahi hoti hai unko farq hi nahi padhta tumharay tauu ko bhot hi akkad hai yeh loghon ko heray ki kader nahi hoti hai waisay hi kuch story sunkay hassi arahi thi mujhay story sunkay hassi arahi thi wahi baath india mai bolo padosi ya dost bhi dwta hai sach mai india . India hi hota hai wahan ki baath kahan ati hai.
Haan yaha ke log bhi garibh hote hai lekin ye yaha ka culture hai, nothing personal about India at all because my father-in-law dusro ke saath same behavior karta hai. Actually, he's more nice to me than others lol. I atleast shake hand with him and others don't even do that...lekin haan I completely agree ki jo respect indian ke damaad ko milti hai, yaha 0%....good comment :)
Apnay festival lelo ya shadiyan lelo ya padosi kay ghar dawath mai jao ya milnay jao alag hi hai maaza mai india ki baath kehroo yehan sirf paisa hai lekin barkath nahi hai khushi nahi hai apnay sanskaar alagh hi lavel kay hai apni mitti apni hoti hai bas ek roti decide karti hai kahan rehna hai kidhar lejati hai.
Kya baat hai! Bilkul sahi baat hai! Main bhi jab India gaya tha last time, bohot respect mili and bohot bhadiya khatirdari hui jo yaha 12 saal me bhi nahi mili.
I didn't and you don't need to disconnect each cell in order to charge individuall. Simply connect positive to positive and negative to negative, you will be able to charge normal. Just pick positive negative correctly while making sure they belong to that individual cell only..use multi-meter to assure positive negative are correct before charging.
@@Xx_TheCuriousBrain_xX I think I understand it now the resistance the other way around the circuit through the other 19 batteries would be so high as to limit current.
Exactly, so charge them individually. I don't believe you need to charge all of them, just the one that's low...most of those should all match, just 1 or 2 that's below average volume that cause the damage in unless all cells are below 3v or so. Once every cell matches, then regular charger should pickup charging....also do subscribe if you haven't already, to help support...thnx!!!
Bilkul, koi date of birth nahi puchta and online order kar sakte ho...next video me I will share about the free service option too, hope that will help :)
Knowledge kay hisabh say bohot hi accha laga yeh video lekin ager koi sasta phone lena hai bina koi social security kay kya koi hai phone aur yeh satay walay phone lenay say kya us kay bahar bhi cal karsaktay hai kya india aur canada bhi to pls bataye.
Ye phone contract walla nahi hai to social security nahi chahiye. Overseas call Karne ke liye check phoneindia.com....very cheap service, free nahi hai otherwise always use WhatsApp on your phone for free calling but that would require WiFi
Not all filters are created equal. There are multiple substitutes for the Kohler filter. I go with a premium Purolator filter rather than a cheap one. Project Farm and other RU-vidrs have done extensive comparisons, so cheap is not beneficial. I spend around $8 at an auto supply store.
