With fuel gauge no longer working, I have just removed the tank to fit a new sender unit. I'm glad I bothered, as there was a long split on the short black rubber tube to the sender, which, unable to see, could have caused me leakage problems. This video will guide me in reassembling everything correctly. Many thanks, from the UK.
I may need to change my 2CV's fuel tank sender unit, if I first find it is not an electrical/earthing problem that stopped my fuel gauge from working, so, many thanks from the UK for this very useful video. 🙂 👍
Jemand mit so viel mechanischen Fähigkeiten könnte vielleicht auch mein Traummodel zusammenbauen: Für jedes Rad einen E-Motor, am liebsten Nabenmotor. Kann damit immer noch mehr Leistung haben, als die ersten Modelle. Aber bitte nichts am Fahrwerk ändern! Das muss original sein, sonst ist das kein 2CV mehr (siehe Julian Edgar).
Burton 2Cv parts aren't exactly talkative here.😂 This is just a huge commercial for their products. The Car being built will need a VIN number (Chassis number) and an original engine with number to ever be road legal. I doubt it can ever be called a Citroen 2CV because this is a Kit Car as it is.🤷🏼♂

Is this legal to drive on the street? That's amazing, considering you'd most likely know how to fix it. Can you buy just the chassis and put a different body / engine on it, and still be street legal? The suspension on this thing is almost as good as a side by side quad, with the benefit of being street legal.

Im Alter von 77 Jahren habe ich gerade einen grün/weißen 87er Dolly gekauft, wir besaßen vor 35 Jahren einen identischen, nachdem wir einen Dyane besessen hatten. Es müssen auch einige Schweißarbeiten durchgeführt werden, um beide Bodenseitenplatten zu montieren, aber es macht so viel Spaß zu fahren. Zufälligerweise hatte dies den gleichen Billardkugel-Schaltknopf. Meiner Frau gefiel es nicht, also passte ich das schwarze Standardkleid an. Danke fürs Zeigen. Viel Spaß beim 2Cv'ing. Malcolm. Does this fit with a -69 model, I also have a small towbar installed (bought frome you )? My engine is a newer (12v system) so I probably have to buy a new sensor as well.
