I think with weight they do have some options to help with the string trimmer/edger. There's the shoulder strap, the nano battery, and the backpack battery holder. They all seem like good options.
@@gregl7597 Don’t worry, my bubble is still in tact! It is made in the USA and I am very happy with this addition to my fleet/business. I did extensive research on the Chinese minis and I was not impressed. That being said, everyone has a different mindset when purchasing equipment and regardless of us disagreeing on value for money in this instance, I still wish you nothing but the best with your business and your mini skid! Go make that money!
I’ve found with my mini skid, if you have a bucket of dirt and then use it to grade and back drag, it’ll find grade just like a large skid. Mini skids are to heavy in the rear and can be tippy and leave waves when grading. Bucket full of material fixes that. Enjoy the jackel videos!
$720 a month for 6 years hell no. America’s prices are crazy I got a 450 form china with 8 attachments for $13800 it lifts 1200 pounds and has the same motor. Best money I’m ever spent. Good luck guys just be mindful and try not to have payments on tools.
@@kalibmilner877 Thankfully this is a five year loan (60 months) with no interest and the monthly payment is much lower than that (because I chose to put money down). When I purchase a piece of equipment for my business, I always choose the product that is the highest quality (materials, build quality, engineering, etc.). I definitely looked into the Chinese machines when making my decision because they are priced so low. Unfortunately, the engineering, durability, cheap materials, and overall quality were not to the standard I wanted. I truly wish you nothing but the best of luck with your machine though and hope it makes you a lot of money!
@@feldmanslawnandlandscape Hey man, I give you props you’re busy enough and you obviously work hard enough to own equipment like that. It just blows my mind when people say skilled trades are down and then pieces of equipment are so expensive and mostly out of reach for people trying to get in the trade, definitely not your fault. I’m sure the machine is top quality. But it’s like come on man. We’re Americans trying to do work and make money not spend money every month for an ex amount of years. Anyways, thanks for the response. Will continue to watch.
@@kalibmilner877 I appreciate the kind words and definitely see where you’re coming from. Equipment prices have skyrocketed (especially in recent years) and it’s tough to toe the line between going into debt to grow/support your business, and wanting to make money as quickly as possible without spending a ton to get there. If you make any videos/social media content with your machine (and attachments) I’d love to see it and the work you do! I’m routing for you brother, and I appreciate your support 🙏🏻
you need a stump grinder attachment and a land plane. both will speed up and add work . nice job. currently I'm shopping for a stump grinder. bauma lite, skid pro erskine, many to choose from.
@@JonathanAshworth50 I charged hourly for this job (plus materials and hauling away debris). Most guys in my area charge between $100-$150 an hour for these types of jobs with mini skids.
@@dvdgnzlz25 Mini skids are the best. They pack a lot of punch and you can take them to practically any job site! Congrats on the Wacker man! Go make that money 💰💰
@@georgezhou7961 Scag is made in America! If it’s quality and built over here, I’ll always try to support our economy. I did some research on the Chinese mini skids, but their build quality, lift capacity, speed and durability didn’t come anywhere close to the Jackal. Definitely a scenario where you get what you pay for.
Hey Nate, great video on the feed back from the guys using the tools. I would love to know from yourself how the true cost of running the Kress battery tools compared to running your existing gas equipment. Here in Australia we are just getting started with the Kress range and the cost of fuel alone will almost pay for the cost of purchasing the tools. Our fuel here is about AUD$2 per litre. (USD$6/gallon).
@@robotlawnmowersaustralia7913 Thank you! At the end of the season, I plan on running all of the numbers comparing the fuel cost of our gas run crew and our crew with the Kress equipment. I have already been able to see a pretty noticeable difference with fuel cost savings! 🙏🏻 Right now in Western New York, our price for gas is in the $3-$4 range (USD/gallon) depending on where you go. I appreciate you tuning into the channel and letting me know about gas costs in your area!
I just found your channel and Liked and subscribed as well! I bet that is a big difference having a platform to stand on! Looking forward to more Action!
@@johnsmith-wd5sq I really appreciate it man! Actually riding on the machine makes a huge difference, especially over the span of a long day! Lots more to come 🙏🏻
Nice video but I would rather listen to the Jackal engine sound than the music. The reason I subscribed to your channel is to watch the Jackal work honestly.
@@feldmanslawnandlandscape What I meant to type is that I would like to see a mix of music but I also want to hear how the jackal sounds sometime during the video.
@@kevinburola889 They are pretty heavy, BUT! when they’re in the units the balance is great. You definitely don’t notice the weight as much as I thought you would 👍
@@feldmanslawnandlandscape can’t wait to see the videos on it and possibly any issue you may encounter with the machine because I know most manufacturer have their own issue sometimes
Definitely a big price tag! But new Dingo tx1000’s are around 48,000 at a dealer close to me and Bobcat MT100’s are around 42,000 at my local dealer. Just the going rate I guess. However with all the attachments and how much you can do with these machines, it is very easy to justify the price tag with the revenue it generates!
I purchased a comparable machine the ir 1000. Had 104 hours, Kubota diesel, Italian hyd pump, parker wheel motors, 83" pin height. Joy stick controls, weight kit, turf tracks. Cid bucket. Out the door $21k.
Very good point! The only reason I might, is to keep the business’ debt to income ratio favorable just in case I want to finance another piece of equipment! 0% interest is awesome though and it definitely takes the pressure off 🙏🏻
@@feldmanslawnandlandscape That could make sense if needed, but if you’re buying this kind of equipment your income should be high enough from charging the appropriate rates that you can finance multiple pieces of equipment at a time, as long as the monthly payments are easily met, including in the off season. Having low debt is great, but utilizing 0 percent interest properly is also important as long as you’re not over extending yourself.
Loved the tips! The idea of spreading mulch by hand for a better finish is genius! Can't wait to try this on my next project. It depends on your area but I charge between $60-$100 per acre depending on obstacles (trees, swing sets, fences) and fertilizer treatments! This park is a part of an HOA we take care of so its price also reflects entrances to the neighborhood, cul de sacs, and different areas of trimming. The park is about 2ish acres if I had to guess!
Hi I’m starting a lawn care business and I have a zero tern that i got from my friend and a push mower but the zero tern isn’t mine really. And i dont know what lawn mower (zero tern) i should get. (in about 2 weeks I made 266 $)
Hey there! I would say it depends on budget, dealer support and the size of properties you take care of. I personally love Toro mowers! Their build, cut quality, maneuverability.. its all incredible. If I were just starting out - I would probably look into a Toro grandstand. Standing is also my favorite way to mow because of its efficiency. However I think the biggest aspect in getting your first commercial mower is finding out what your dealer carries. If they have and work on scag - look into a V-ride. If it’s Wright - look into a Stander X! Things break and you’ll need them fixed quickly. I’ll probably do a video about this topic soon so make sure to look out for it! Good luck out there and keep grinding my friend! 👍👍
Great question! For my first few times using the hedge trimmer I wanted to see how it felt for an extended period of time with the smaller 4 amp battery attached. That way I could get a feel for the weight. In the coming weeks we have a few large HOA properties coming up with a ton of hedge trimming! I will definitely be wearing/testing the battery pack for those projects.
Enjoy the tools Nate. The system is truly awesome. Important thing to remember is that you are essentially buying 6 years of fuel. The tank only takes about $100 per year to charge off-peak and 5 nights a week. ROI is almost always under 3 years and even if it's financed, savings average about $2000 a year. Looking forward to your thoughts.
We definitely will! Can’t wait to see how much money this setup will save us over the span of the season. Already very impressed with the build quality. Much more to come!
Thank you! Good for you for going full time. That’s a huge step! Keep grinding and going the extra mile for your clients and you’ll definitely be in a similar position in the near future 💪🏻
