im hopefully moving into village accom in september if everything goes well!! i was just wondering how the post works , more specifically if you're ordering something online, what address you put it under? this video was really helpful though xxx
Aw exciting! So what I used to put was my flat number and room letter which was 2C, then I would put Courtyard A, University Village, UEA, Norwich, NR4 7TJ and then you will get an email when it arrives at the post room which is now on the street, opposite the SU bar and you scan your campus card and collect it from there:) x
Yesss sorry it’s because when I filmed it I got confused with the buildings haha but if you rewatch it, it’s the building opposite oak house where I’ve put ‘back of oak house’:)
So there are studios and family housing available that I know about if you message the uni, they may have other options I’m not aware of as well. Otherwise I’d recommend looking to privately rent in norwich:)
Thanks a Lot for the advice. 🙂 I'm currently confused between Benedict's gate, crown place and Pablo Fanque house. Any Suggestions from your side are welcomed.
@@HarisAhsan no worries:) we’ll what I know about those is that pablo fanque and crown place are in the city centre and Benedict’s gate is slightly closer but still in the city
I swear everyone every year struggles to connect at first but from memory you have to ‘trust’ the certification or something like that and then log in with your student email, good luck😂🤞🏼
Is there job available for the student and dependant on Norwich city ....and what is the cost of accommodation to live in the Norwich ......plzzzz replay me
Hello mam I want know some information about uea and Norwich city .I want to come in this university so plzzzz help me to know some doubt ????? I will wait of your replay ....?????
On most streets yes but wilberforce road is like the only road close to uni that you don’t need one but you take a big risk during term time on whether there will actually be a space unfortunately x
Hi, so for the laundrette you have to provide your own products. It’s normally recommended that you buy the pods because they have everything all in one as there isn’t any drawers to put products into so you can just chuck them in:)
Hey, So I’m not living there anymore so I can’t give an exact measurement but I had a box that was 31cm tall and I could still fit 1-2 folded towels on top as well:)
thanks for the tour!! super useful video:) looking to buy stuff for my accommodation and this might be a weird question but do you know how thick the door hangers that you brought with you are? thought it was a great idea and am looking for an over the door coat hanger but apparently their are tons of different sizes depending on door thickness!!!
Aw thankyou! Well I tried to measure mine but it was like so slim I barely could so I would say that it was maximum 2mm thick but I’d just say shop around and look for the slimmest one:)
The flat I showed was in courtyard a but there are village plus rooms in multiple buildings. Also at the beginning I show the whole of the village so you can see where willow is:)
Thankyou! There are beryl bikes on campus which you can rent but yes you can bring your own, there are many bike racks. There is also a bike repair shop too! And cars aren’t really encouraged but if you need them for placement or are disabled, there are permits available:)
I never experienced it whilst I lived in the village but I think regardless of how well we all got on we all had that respect for each other plus we all had different tastes but if your worried I still kept some of my tinned and dry stuff in a box under my bed so that way you can keep an eye on it still:)
@@Sophiejj01 Thank you. I will be an exchange student this autumn taking biology and pharmacology classes. I wonder if you can refer me to some uea students with similar majors. I need some advice on the modules and lecturers. Thanks in advance!
@@paulpham4573 if you join Facebook welcome groups then you will be able to find people on your course, that’s how I met people before I came here, hope this helps:)
Hi! So you can choose, I chose to do termly (3 payments a year) but I think you can also choose to do monthly or yearly and you can choose to have it come out as a direct debit or manually pay:)
Thanks a lot for the tour! I feel less nervous going there now ahaha. Do you know if the village ensuite room (not ensuite plus) gets a full body mirror?
@@Sophiejj01 oh thank goodness. I watched the 360 videos and it only showed the small mirror in the ensuite and the website doesn't list any other mirror :(
Hi! Thank you SO much for this tour/video! I am (most likely) studying abroad here in the fall for a semester, and I am just so interested to see what the campus looks like in this much detail!
The village is like a 5/10 min walk to campus, just depends how quickly you walk really😂 and it can be quiet but there are also things going on at night time too, just depends who you end up living with. I wouldn’t know how social hickling and Barton is in all honesty but it isn’t known for the social life:)
I'm very interested in the UEA, I've looked a lot into courses but obviouly the campus in this detail isnt something that easy to see given the pandemic situation at the moment, thank you!
Hii, so exciting! Honestly it’s just down to the government but there’s hope that business lectures will start returning to in person from the 17th of may so hopefully, other practical courses are in person already though x
Sophie Cobbold Oh they are? Didn’t know haha. I’m an international student so not sure what’s going on in England right now. Last I heard, only seminars would be in person but lectures were going to be online still because the classes would be bigger. I’m doing psychology so quite a large class!
Hi, nice video. I wish to know about part-time jobs in Norwich. Can we get it easily or the place is small and or there ain't much opportunity. Thanks in advance. There are many videos but the accommodation best explained here. Keep Blogging real nice to see.
Aw thankyou! I really appreciate it:) I don’t actually know much about getting a part time job in norwich as I haven’t tried or know anyone who has got one. But, the city is fairly big and I can imagine in regular times it would be easier:)
@@Sophiejj01 thank you for replying. Are u still studying at UEA ? How is computer department there if u have any idea. What about job fairs I heard uni organize job fairs but there ain't big companies coming only local one , is it true. Thanks in advance.
@@danzilbenjamin8196 yeah I still study here. I can’t lie I don’t really know much about a computer department. I have heard previously about job fairs but I’ve only been here for this year and due to covid there hasn’t been many events at all happening so I couldn’t tell you what one is like at all really:)
Hi! I might be studying at UEA in the autumn semester but I wasn't sure if the uni was going to have in-person classes or not. Do you happen to know? Great video btw!
Hi, I’m not sure but as it stands at the moment I have one workshop in person every two/three weeks and people on practical courses are going for in persons:)
@@Sophiejj01 I'm gutted for you and your year that you haven't been able to experience it in all its glory!! It was like a real community, peaceful some of the time but had the best parties there!!!
You mentioned something about parking permits... can any village resident get a permit for the whole year or are they reserved for disabled parking etc? I have a car but not sure if I can actually park it anywhere, nobody's mentioned it in the videos I've seen x
Hey sorry I’m not actually employed by uea or anything so I don’t actually know how you go about getting a permit, I’m pretty sure anyone can get one regardless of course or ability. I just park my car on wilberforce road which is the road running right next to the village:) but usually people don’t bring their cars to uni unless they need it especially in first year. Hope this helps:)x
I mean it’s difficult to say this year because of the pandemic but i think around the courtyard especially I’ve seen people with lights on and music playing in their kitchens so quite social in my opinion:)
This is so helpful, thank you! Are all of the rooms in Village Plus the same? I don’t see much difference in the bedroom compared to Barton Hickling, which is more expensive. Is there any possibility you have friends in other accommodations that could video their bedrooms? Or could you do a detailed video comparing all on campus accommodation options?
Yeah basically the bed may be on the other side of the room depending what room you get allocated but the rest will look the same and I will try but because of covid making friends and being allowed in other people accommodation this year has been difficult so I will see what I can do and when I can do it according to lockdown restrictions:)
