The z score enables us to look up the probability using a z table (or Calculus or an app that calculates the area under the normal curve). Without the z value, we would have to use the binomial distribution which is computationally difficult even for powerful computers. It’s less of an issue with today’s computers but it used to be near impossible to do the calculations by hand for problems with large n values. Even fairly powerful computers struggle to do the work quickly, so programmers might still opt to use approximations like this in their code when speed is more important than precision.

What's tha difficult part in using online resources for studying? There are too many but only one will fit your style of learning... And for me this ONE is the only video that has lead me to understand what I am seeking for after so many videos this is the only one that fit my logical understanding😂
Easiest way to explain it in my opinion is the contestant should NOT want to guess correctly at the start and because 2 of the 3 doors are empty that means the contestant has a 67% chance of ending up with an empty door which is good. If you guessed an empty door correctly, the only door left after the next step is the door with the prize.

You pick the wrong one 2/3 of the time in the first round. You always win if you switch when your original pick was wrong. Which means you win 2/3 of the times when switching. You could think of it as choosing between the door you picked or both of the other doors. He just opens one of them before you've answered.
