@@user-ys5yv2nz6w No, I am European, although from the other side of the continent. I sympathise with Gaelic speakers as the history of my people is similarly sad to yours. Our language also almost died out and was only used as a vernacular by the common folk. The upper class mostly spoke German, French, maybe English. It took us a great effort to reform it, create new words and establish a literary/scientific language. I hope you Gaelic speakers too can save your language.
@@ythelldoineedahandle It sadly happens all over Europe. The Basques, Bretons, Frisians and all sorts of people with unique languages have their tongue erased by whatever larger culture surrounds them. I hope your language lives on too friend.
