Hey guys, wait, I'm not supposed to be here Stop, halt, my name's not Chris it's Peter He's late, he's probably at the theater Watching a 70s movie Maybe "The French Connection" Or possibly "Godfather II" The number, not also Let my son die Let my son die My son, not me Let his son die Let his son die His son, not him Whoah, whoah, whoah...Let him die Locked in a cage Like John McCain Can't raise his arms
I saw this film in 1979 and I have never been the same. I sing along every time since there is no way I could keep myself from bursting. I have the original broadway album and I wouldn't part with it for the world. I read the back of the album often and I always have a huge smile on my face due to the sheer brilliance of the music. When I see videos of the original cast it is impossible NOT to feel intense emotions. They lyrics capture the moment so well.
War will continue as we still support the "new told lies" each time, just paying for the taxes sadly gives our power away to systems that are not for the highest good o
I was a kid when I saw this movie, although I didn't really understand the meaning of the words but I remember tears streaming from my eyes when I heard this song, and never forgot it.
I first heard this song when I watched the recess movie and liked it so did more research and found this and after further research on the song's meaning it's very poignant and heart wrenching at the same time. Love this music it truly highlights that soldiers are humans to and knowing that a battle would most likely be your final moments hits hard.
Me sigue emocionando como hace más de 50 años La letra nos invita a reflexionar todos los días y la melodía es,sencillamente maravillosa Esta es una verdadera obra de arte 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
All the vague sentiment of better yesterdays. Ok. Consider that things were just as fragmented in truth, although the cultural depth was greater, the blindness was being handed to the next generation. How else did we go from that to where it is now? The youth may be the face of tomorrow but just look at how they are stifled now as they were then!
Berger paid the price of freedom so Claud would find his love... This is the original Zac Fair and Cloud Strife. The same hair color and over time Clauds hair gets messier looking like realistic versions of clouds hair while bergers looks like zacs
This song has powerful lyrics that should always be remembered! Even not being a native speaker of English I can grasp the power of the words! And the melody itself is gorgeous!!!
Let the sunshine in is one of my if not THE all time favourite song of me. Always have goosebumps all over &wet eyes. being some kind of "flower - child" of the 1990ies (going to anti war demos since aged 13 in 1991) this song has been played several times when I went to England with a group of growing ups. a dear friend I met there & me were crying, hugging to this song when we knew we wouldn`t see each other for weeks after spending every day together the 2 weeks of holidays. What I do realize now, aged 44, is: war can only stop when the war insede every human being stops. Love & light
ja, in Deutschland ist es genauso, its a worldwide thing....politics are like stalin and adolf, but now much better prepared.... corvid 19 is the best example.....
In the 1990s ( oh such an eon ago) I tried to put as n anniversary edition big this show on stage from my troupe.. the troupe was gung ho. Not one stage in Delaware would allow it. But.. listen to the message
You are so right! I am from that era; I'm 71. I see so much of the same crap now with the Orange horror in the WH. Especially "listening for the new told lies." We need to wake up again!
@@ramseysealy8102 I think the president is doing a phenomenal job considering all the resistance he gets every day from people like you that call him ridiculous names.
@@cottonmather5883 Really, CM? Allow me to tell you some names for this president that are not ridiculous, but pathetic and sad - liar, adulterer, immature, self-involved to an pathological degree, self-absorbed, concerned about the wealthy alone, racist, user of religion in an ungodly manner, childish name-caller, and liar - he lies so much that it deserves repeating. In what I believe was the second debate between Hillary and Trump, Hillary stated that he had begun his business ventures with a gift of $11 million from his father. Trump then came on and said that it was $1million and it was a loan. Transactions of money of that magnitude have to be reported. So, I looked it up. IT WAS $11 MILLION AND IT WAS A GIFT! Trump can just lie right in the face of evidence. It's amazing and pathological. A debate with someone who lies with that degree of facility is pointless. And, he still has immigration holding many children without their parents despite that being outlawed by the courts and despite his claim that that satanic separation of families at our border had ended. Look it up! He bragged on the Howard Stern Show years ago about how many times he had committed adultery while married to his first and second wives. He finally admitted that he had a hand in paying off Stormy Daniels to keep her quite about his sex romps with her. And, why do you suppose that this administration has had virtually nothing to say about Putin's agents poisoning of his main opposition figure? So, what is this phenomenal job you refer to? Specifically, what has he done that is so fantastic? Do you mean the gutting of all environmental regulations that he possibly could? Is jeopardizing the well-being of our planet for future generations, maybe yours, so that his rich buddies can get richer a great achievement? Maybe his brilliant handling of this pandemic is what you mean? At first referring to its seriousness as a hoax perpetrated by the Denocrats, then refusing to do the right thing and wear a mask and encourage others to do so, and insisting that businesses and schools open up despite recents spikes in cases and deaths - maybe this is what you feel is so phenomenal? Let me assure you, as a microbiologist - a medical one for many years and, then after earning my PhD, teaching literally thousands of students who are now doctors and nurses - I am disgusted about how this administration has handled, or should I say mishandled, this very serious epidemic/pandemic and ignored scientific-based approaches and instead relied on Trumps hunches and desires to not be seen as a loser in regards to the economy. Other countries whose leaders took a serious and scientific approach to this rapidly expanding disease have come to a point of control of this viral infection. We certainly have not and so much of this should rightly be placed on the shoulders of that one who thought he knew more than medical and microbiological experts. HE DOES NOT! How many people have died and how many families are in grief because of this man's arrogance? So, CM, I do not share your views of this man or his administration or his so-called accomplishments. Oh, and I am one of those people from the 60s. I entered college in 1967. Trump is from that era, as well. I believed, and still believe, in equality, justice, fairness, peace, and care for this only planet where we know life exists. Trump did not and does not.
@@ramseysealy8102 Sorry for your acute case of TDS. Good luck with the Socialists if they take over and your dementia patient who is sadly running for president.
