(Sorry for the late reply!) We meet up for general Nerf on Saturdays 6-9 PM at the Death Star, or Social Science and Humanities Building, at UC Davis during the school year (not during breaks). You are free to join us then! For our special events however, like HvZ, we don't host these regularly so keep an eye out on our socials like Instagram or Discord (links are always in the descriptions of our videos!)
For those that might not know the xshot longshot scar barrel will fire mega xl darts. I have tried this on both my xshot longshot and on my dart zone stryker. Also xfoxgames has some modds for the outlaw. I can not wait to pick one up. I think pairing it with either my xshot longshot or my dart zone stryker will be a solid loadout. I also have a rival pilot that can shoot 6 different types of ammo including mega xl as a last ditch/backup sidearm.
Very in-depth review- mine just arrived via Roseville ca. warehouse to sf area-no lack of inventory oddly enough. $31 is a steal next to Hasbro crap. Btw just got my skins lock too-$15 Joy stick🙌
@@davis_nerfclub I bet it also works with worker scar barrels, but I don’t have any so… Basically, if it fits in a nexus or Stryker, it’ll probably work here too
Okay good to see without a scar your results are very similar to mine over the chrony, although I'm using Gen3 HEs. Thought I was crazy cause people kept claiming 200fps 😅
Just wondering, what are your gen3s hitting? Also my Unicorn doesn't really like scars/bcars. Might be just me though because the darts i'm testing with, during the days I use the scars/bcars, are varying in quality (slightly used-very worn).
@davis_nerfclub Currently with very fresh Gen3s I'm getting mid-low 170s with a Worker Bcar as I found that reduces fps the least and gives good accuracy. I also drilled a hole in the tip of the pusher to prevent any vacuuming after I fixed up the seal with the green o-rings from OoD
Damn good review. You may be one of the only people that covered all the spring and barrel combos available through OOD. High five to a fellow Unicorn owner!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the review! I was worried that it would've be too long of a review, but I personally wanted to have everything on there, including the chrono results for ALL combos. Especially because no one has really done something along the lines of testing every combo, I thought it would be nice to have a video review that does have all the chrono values for all the combos. Sending High Fives back to you being another fellow Unicorn user!
Including the price of the blaster and the upgrades I bought (plunger tube, barrel, barrel collet, spring, foregrip) it's an $80 Lynx. Which I paid $230 for a few years ago and they both hit in the 240s-250s.
That's just how it goes sometimes. The market was bound to make something good enough to balance out against other blasters, especially with some modification. Within the same topic...I can't wait to see what 3D printing has in store for the X-Shot Longshot! Can't wait to have some potential cool kits to kit out the blaster to possibly look different or something along the lines of what 3D printing has done with other blasters.
As mentioned in the beginning of my review, I said that I got it online via Target's app/website on June 18th-19th and had it shipped! Sending good luck and hoping you can get one soon if you really want it, this blaster is nice: may not have popped up to your Targets yet so maybe that's why it may not pop up online for you.
HEY SO DON'T MIND HOW THE CAMERA IS AIMING JUST A TAD BIT HIGH, I SWEAR IN THE NEXT REVIEW OR SO I WILL FIX THAT SO I CAN SHOW THE BLASTER MORE... I did this on my macbook so don't bash on me :)
I'm happy for you! Just hoping that the plunger tube for you is not cracked cause I have been hearing issues where some peoples' X-Shot Longshots have been cracked, reducing performance. Easy fix but overall just an inconvenience.
Love this blaster. I can't put it down. My spring, when primed, loosely moves around as well. I don't understand why it does that but i'm glad to see that it's not just my blaster that does that. I thought I had a broken one and almost took it back to Target lol. Also, your front sight is on backwards.
😂🎉😂 just bought mine today, just got in the house too. I bought the last one at target. I went to multiple targets this morning and the third target had one left😅😅
I'm the same way! If anything, the more I play around with it, the more fun facts I learn about it! That's why added that last segment last minute because I want to share everything I love about the blaster. Now regarding the sight...I would say anyone can put their sights on however >:) lol I just like mine that way cause it's the same for my customized "Modded" Nexus Pro, BUT if it really bugs you, I can fix it and show it in another video just for you :D /s
It'll probably be a while before these start popping up at Goodwill considering it is still in the works of coming out in all Targets, but so stoked for you to find one at Goodwill if you can, this thing rocks, and finding one at Goodwill would be a steal of a STEAL of a very amazing budget friendly blaster.
@davis_nerfclub I'm thinking the combination of low price and high power might get it taken away from some kids quickly haha. But ya might be a year or two also. I recently found a Nexus Pro and Stryker about a week apart at the same Goodwill, never know!
