There is nothing haunted about this road....people take it to get from Upper Greenwood Lake and Warwick to get to Rt 23, a major commuter highway.. I live in Upper Greenwood Lake and enjoy the ride, good chance to see wildlife. I've seen bears, porcupines, deer, turkeys, rattlesnakes, copperheads, black rat snakes or racers. Cops patrol it to discourage "ghost hunters" and there are car accidents as it is quite a windy road. No ghosts, hellhounds,satanic worshippers or klansmen as there really isn't anywhere for them to park.

Clinton Road has several Bridges the story of the Ghost Boy . the boy went to the bridge to throw a coin into the stream to make a wish . the coin landed on a rock he went into the stream to reveal his coin to get it into the water he slipped and fell any drowned. in the Stream when you go to this bridge if you're at the right Bridge and you throw your coins into the Stream to make your wish the boy will take the coin through back to you. if you don't make a wish the coin will not return once you're done with that when you get back into your car to drive away you will notice a truck following you people said that was the scariest thing they ever saw or witnessed the headlights are strange they will be in your mirror you can't get rid of it I have never witnessed it I've been lucky enough but that's the legend of the ghost boy in the truck.
