Welcome to the Essential Outdoorsman channel! I make videos during my pursuit of archery and hunting improvement with community and fellowship being the purpose.
Had my chance to handle one yesterday side by side to the old one. I have one of the original climbers, the other version, and a sit and climb along with a hang on. My take-it is a definite improvement in 4 ways. The top and bottom attachment is a home run. The teeth are amazingly better. The straps on it are excellent too. The shoulder straps are long overdue as well. The bad- i dont care for the shorter foot platform. It’s not noticeably lighter to me( one in one hand, older one in the other). And obviously- the price. I am betting this one is machined versus cast- i am about positive. Obviously that is going to increase the cost. It is well thought out as well. If you have an older system- i dont see this being so much better that i could justify getting a new one. If i didn’t have 3 lone wolf climbers of different types already, and i wanted to get a climber- this is the best one out there. I definitely have an issue with the shorter foot platform.
I caught the bug last weekend when I entered my first competition. I loved it and am joining the club. I just started shooting compound early 2024 but the best way to get good at something is to hang out with people who are better at it than you are. Meeting so many like minded people was refreshing.
Im very interested in getting more involved in archery competitions. Im not good enough to compete yet but I'd love to check out some tournaments and maybe compete one day. Awesome video. 🙏🙏
Paige is beautiful, awesome, and amazing, but calling her a "stud" is akin to calling any woman "dude" or "bro". Plain to see that you truly respect her, but now show it.
I made one exactly like it. The trigger lock I made from a piece of steel I cut out of the back of an old ax head. I used modern material to make the string.
Sounds good✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼i ve ordered the dominator p7 can for my bmw r1200 GS but think it comes with db killer welded😢 what would you think it may sounds at the end.. the finish of dominatoe is the favorite for me in that range of price , but now i dont know if it is gonna be insufficient troatty sound with medium db🤪? Regards from spain & gas!
I remeber also reading about these along with a repeating pump action crossbow that loads arrows like a bolt action rifle and apart from what I read I could not find more info on it or anyone that built a working crossbows
That rattle is not the shim kit. Its actually the cable running against the side of the cam.. By changing the shim you essentially created cam lean which created the clearance for the cable not to rattle.
Was loving this vid...then the language. Good grief man. Amazingly, well done and edited video other than that. Those Reckonings pound. Keep on keepin' on enjoying GODs outdoors. 😉
5 years later and I’m watching this! You must be close by where I live! I’ve been thinking about joking the Menard Archers Club in Petersburg, as I live I right in Athens, IL
I’m glad I came across your video. You explain it very clearly. I’m sometimes moving the trigger hand forward before I squeeze the trigger. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I’m sure your advice will help a lot of us beginners
I am slightly cross eyed. Which means I have no depth perception. If you gave depth perception test to all the pro unknown shooters I would almost bet the top shooters have the highest scores on the test.
Im brand new to hunting. Doing some “youtube research”, lol. Wanted to say great video! Ill be doing as you said and using cheap stuff to get the feel of what I Prefer. 👍🏽
@antonioperez Since you're new to hunting, and if you're thinking about hunting from the ground and want to be mobile, I highly recommend the Ground Effect hunting seat by 03 Outfitters. I've been hunting on the ground for well over 50 years, and I don't believe there is a better seat made. Plus, it's made in the USA, and it won't break the bank. Check it out, and happy hunting!!!
Mobile hunting is great. I use a $340 Summit Open Shot that is just like the Lone Wolf and weighs like 16 pounds. I have no idea why you’d pay 3x that much for a LW that looks way less comfortable.
Ive had the arm snap off on 3 different climbers. Lone wolf. Climbers Zero warranty. Ended up making my own out of metal square tubing instead of aluminum. It snaps rite where the bolt holds the arm to the seat.
Well said at the end. The more you get into it, and the rubber meets the road in the woods. You will be ready and will be on cloud 9 when you get it done. God Bless
Since crossbows are legal here in Michigan I have seen a noticeable decrease in rifle hunters. I’m not sure if hunters are tagged out before rifle season or rifle hunters are not buying licenses because the lack of seeing bucks and the deer have been pressured so much they are pretty much nocturnal.
