Good that you made the guide :) Always good to have this information here on youtube. But people have to be smart and search for it before the buy. Have a great day man.
Not a bread I care for. High vet bills. Inbreading. High attention to coat & skin care. Big attention needs in early social & behaviour skills. Becauce of inbreading can have aggressive natures.
Great companion I take mine for a 7 to 10 klm bike ride four times a week and he would ask for more but he is 10 years old and I’m trying not to overdo it.
Any person or family that is going to get an animal should always see if the animal no matter what it is if it's going to be a good match. Some dogs and cats don't like kids they like a quiet environment. So always good to do that first.
BEST Breed, Ever ! We have had 8 Shar Peis over the past 30 years. They are smart, loyal and funny. They have a good sense of humor and love to play tricks on their owners, such as surprising the person from around a corner.
Hey there, I have visited and analyzed your RU-vid channel ( Chinese Shar-Pei USA). I saw that your channel and content are very good but found some problems with it. I can show them to you if you grant permission. I'm waiting for your valuable response. Best regards Md Saiful Islam
my beautiful Pei Sadie is an original bone mouth. she came to me right before her sixth birthday. As I had another pei die in August 2, 2023. Having the breed since 1987. Each pei is different. Now, back to Sadie; she has learned so much because her past owners never walked her on a leash. She knows all commands. I also have her trained on a fifty foot training leash. I let her run on that and every now and then give her commands. She comes right back and sits on my left side. As a protective watchdog, she is great. I slowly introduce her to new things to make her feel comfortable and reassured. She does not chase squirrels or birds or other animals with my training. She just sits and looks at them. at then we move forward. Again, everyone of them are different. peace.
The misconception is that their not a lil monster) their like a pitbull and great watch dogs) theyll snap at u but wont bite) great bread but mishandled genetics because of human superficialness
you must own one to truly understand the breed...they are the most incredible dog. I own a female, she is a lap dog unlike many, BUT you do not want to walk through the door unannounced! She truly understands the "crowd" in public surroundings, incredible intelligence. Again, unlike any other breed...
Personally, I think the gender also plays a significant role! I have had both and my female(unspayed) was always by my side, while my male(neutered) was always securing my property at every moment!😂
I hate your videos, stock footage and a voice over that sounds like the output of #ChatGPT. I wish there was a way to block your channel to take your useless content out of my feed
I'm very close to losing my 8 year old boy through skin cancer (16/01/24) but I'll tell you this.....they might be a bugger to train (he's our second) but they are the most beautifully natured dog in the world. I'm close to being devastated.
Since they’re so wrinkly they often develop a condition called entropion. It’s incredibly painful. Their eyelashes literally grow into the eyeball itself. Feels like sand in your eyes. It requires surgical intervention. So, I wouldn’t call shar-pei’s well bred. Somewhere somehow they were overbred or inbred. An animal shouldn’t come outta the gate with genetic problems. I wouldn’t buy any Chinese dog. A chow chow. How about that? They’re notoriously difficult to groom and make behave. Both the Pekingese and pug are brachycephalic. Their nose openings go straight to the brain. Not a wonderful trait. I love dogs! Worked with them for years. From grooming to retail, I’ve had my dog days. I’d never buy a purebred dog. Mutts are better. Or, they’re called All Americans. Breeding for specific traits usually means exploiting their condition, unfavorably. Man just thinks he can roll the genetic dice with species. They’ve created Frankenstein dogs. Gimme a mixed breed all day everyday.
No mention of Shar Pei Fever? You are only pimping for traffic using stock photos and stock videos stitched together. Shar Pei should NOT BE BATHED MORE THAN ONCE A MONTH. Reading from a script does not make good content.
