I really want the Williams Fish Tales machine but 9000 euros?😅 Maybe I should look for a different machine that looks almost perfect from the outside but doesn't work? I can maybe pay 3000 euros at max for a pinball machine. And even that amount of money is hard to come by for me. But I have to admit... I know almost nothing about pinball machines. I do know stuff about electronics and I'm a tech guy and I did repair a pinball machine at work in the past. And it was a Williams! It didn't respond to coins so I took the whole coin thing apart and cleaned it and put it back. After that it did respond to coins but 1 flipper wasn't working because the switch was faulty. Good thing I was building an arcade cabinet that had the same type of button switches so I could replace it. It was the wrong color but we didn't care! The thing worked! But this was a best case scenario... the machine had been fixed a few years prior. I won't have that luck if I buy a near perfect looking but non working machine for myself.😅 But I know I can fix it. And these days there are tons of videos on youtube that show how to fix those machines and tons of forums full of experienced people ready to help.
Good video. I've sold many of these, pre-built, activated and ready to go with a wiring harness that requires no hacking/jumping/crimping of wires, etc. For Williams WPC games, you can just use J116/J117/J118 for power and tuck the original DMD power cable in your back box.
Ive been in live with this machine since it came out. Thank you for your work to save this one! One thing -wasnt it kinda risky turning the game on without inspecting inside for potential shorts first (fallen hardware etc) ? It went fine obviously.. just wondering if that step was taken

Hi how you doing ...we have same jukebox..was working...have touched it for a few years ..went to play some records last night ..but seems to have no power were you select records..no power on the main computer board..is there a battery inside the computer board that needs replacing maby...haven't pulled it apart as yet . Thought I will ask someone that knows about these.. thanks
Not sure. I would need to look up the manual for my brothers jukebox again. I live in a different state so I cant just go and see. My advice would be to go and look in th emanual and see if there is a battery there. If no power check all connections and fuses. Connections should be cleanded and remove the fuses and check with a multimeter.
I've got a TFTC and love to see videos like this! Thank you. That playfield is dirty but in good shape for its age. Was and wax and she should come back to life. The cab and glass are another story. Long videos are great they keep us involved and now I don't feel like I'm missing anthing
This is a great video! I had no idea that you could build your own pin2dmd display. I bought a completed one when I built my vpin. But you're so right, this is the best way to add value to your machine. Good luck with your sale and tracking down your dream machine. TNG is a masterpiece.
Not sure - I assumed it was an alignment issue as we just had that wire form off the PF. It came good pretty quickly. Russell may have more of an insight.
a pox on DE for their stapled in light sockets... weeks later... im still yet to pull the crypt down to finish the LED install. I put a ramp protector along the left side of the loop ramp to stop airballs from coming off that staple that protects the wires and crap just befor the middle spinner. Much slicker feel to the spinner shot. (I put 7 lite LED disks in all my pops)
interesting mod with the drop plastic standing up like that?... i put a visor made out of an acrylic fridge storage container, its almost exactly the same size and shape as the original plastic. I moved the whole plastic forward a couple of cm so it overhangs the drops , and the box/mod bit fills the space between and protects the extra lights i put in there. No more massive airballs off the drop targets. They used to sometimes get up behind the wire frames!

Interesting watch. I have been into pinballs for a very long time. Soon as i heard the extra bong I knew there was an issue with the sound board. I have a Getaway, Hi Speed 2. Owned it for many years. Much the same boardset as Fishtails. Had all my boards refurbished, and plays beautifully. Definitely a keeper. I did an l.e.d. conversion and it brightened it up and also cuts down the curend draw on the power driver board.

Same Juke with same problem...thanks for the vid. But I noticed you have different lighting with effects where mine just has flourescent tubes. Pls explain? Thanks
I have exact same jukebox, mine are fluorescent tubes always on too. I liked his lighting, but I dont think it is stock. Someone did a nice custom job on that.
