Hi! My name is Isaac Samuelsson. I'm 21 years old playing as a goalkeeper
This is a youtube channel where I document my journey of becoming the best goalkeeper I can become. The Grinding Road is a series where I show you my ups and downs, and the training I do day in and day out. I also try to inspire and help people by talking about important topics related to football and training.
I post a new video every Sunday! If you would like to follow my journey subscribe today, and I won't disappoint you
Haven’t tried the latest gloves from them brands. I think all gloves are fairly similar in latex, for me fit is more important. I know a lot of the top brands use 4mm and the Vos are 3mm to give better control
I wish you the best of luck man. You've definitely got the skill to play pro. That combined with your work rate will get you places. Just needs a bit of time. How did you get in contact with the modern day gk and get the chance to train with them?
Thank you mate, appreciate the kind words🙌 first time I met them was the training camp in Tenerife last winter, and ever since I’ve been on a few trips to England to train with them
Just found this, really interesting, ive always wondered how it worked with free agents. The view from Arthurs Seat is something, atleast you got to see the might Easter Road. Good luck finding a club, ive subscribed to watch
Thank you for sharing the reality to all keepers in there. Keep pushing and learning trought every opportunity and the world will smile at you and get that contract!
Hi Isaac, that was a great, really enjoyable video! I’m disappointed nothing worked out but like you say you can take these experiences forward! As a Scot I’ve always watched the championship, it’s a great league with lots of games on the television. I’ve met most the gks in the championship, trained with a few and really good pals with one. So I’ll probably know the keepers and coaches you’ve worked with. I’m playing for a club in league 1 as I’ve came through their youth system. I really hope you enjoyed just being in Scotland, I’m wondering what you thought of it, the scenic landscapes, the food, the pipers that you’ll find on the streets and the accent! 😅 I know a few clubs around league 1 level that I think would gladly take you into their team! The hill that you walked in Edinburgh is Aurthurs seat, the stadium you saw was Easter Road as you said is home of the greatest team in Scotland, Hibs/ Hibernian! I hope you enjoyed the atmosphere of fir park (Motherwell) usually in Scotland the fans are amazing no matter which team! I would hope to see you in Scotland again at somepoint, if it’s for a holiday and you want to explore more of Edinburgh, the highlands, the lowlands. Again that was a great video and a really enjoyable one. All the best Shay 🏴🧤
Thank you for the comment mate, brought a smile to my face!! First of all thank you for enjoying the video! Haha, great that you know some of them, out of the ones I meet everyone seemed nice and caring😃 Scotland was definitely a beautiful place. Being both in Glasgow and Edinburgh I got to see a lot of the lower parts of Scotland and enjoyed it a lot! Really nice place to live! The accent tho haha, not the easiest to understand😂 and then as you said Fir Park beautiful stadium, and you see that the fans got a lot of passion in their clubs. Hopefully I’ll return there someday. If it’s not for football then I’ll definitely explore the country at some point of my life All the best🙌
Interesting u got some time at Dunfermline, the comment about 1 gk and the split second pic from the walk from train station up thru the park where u took pic of the old band stand gave it away! We more needing someone with experience and who can from day 1 push to be number 1. Sure u will find a club that suits u soon.
Have you thought about trying out teams in Northern Ireland and Ireland? The standard in those countries will be similar to the Scottish Championship. There are absolutely tons of teams in England that would be worth contacting. Would you try teams in countries like Finland and Iceland?@IsaacSamuelsson
Yes mate great tips, will see where I go next! Don’t think I can play in the English league system due to brexit, apparently Scotland was different🤷♂️
@@IsaacSamuelsson Hello Isaac! My team (Västerhaninge IF) need a goalkeeper. I can give you foot massages if you sign the contract. Lycka till brorsan, nästa steg är Arsenal.
@@IsaacSamuelsson I believe your correct there. But we've seen now a couple professionals use body cam's in pre-season/friendlys recently. I believe Tielemans did it with Aston Villa. Either way love your vids, when's the next upload?
Interesting, haven’t seen that, will definitely have a look!😃 Thanks mate means a lot! Hopefully next Sunday. I always try aiming to every Sunday. But I’m in a different country at the moment so a bit harder to make videos.
Probably training the same way as I talked about in the video just without gloves. But be careful tho cause you don’t want to get any injuries. So investing in a pair would probably be a good thing
It can be difficult at the start. What you could to is just take a football at home and get used to having no grip. Remember that you'll drop the ball multiple times over and over again. But in the end you'll learn a lot from it. As long as you try catching the ball, at least the ones you think are catchable
