Dude that Chinese hole punch thing sucks royally lol 😆😆 just use the regular hole punch with your hammer or spend a few bucks and get one of the rotary punches. These are some pretty cool ideas with scraps I actually loved the fly swat I was thinking like no way is he making a fly swat and dang if you didn't lol cool 😊😊
Thanks, it's not very neat yet. it's my first time, I need more practice. And all the hardware can be bought on amazon or other online store. the size and width of the buckle there are only kind of two options.
Being a leather worker I would say that the leather is too thin for a wallet ,you need around 1.6mm or 4oz min. But that is my opinion ,each to their own. Good luck with your crafting.😊
Thank you for your comment. I'm still learning to work with what I can get my hands on. This leather was given to me by a friend of mine. So I'm trying to work with it for now. It's a shame to buy and ruin the leather for now.
Don't use tokonole on chrome tanned leather, it doesn't work well. And for chrome tanned, you need paint for the edges, not Tokonole, that's why your edges don't look good. Also, if you form leather to make cases for headphones, you should use natural vegtan, it forms and dries properly; chrome tan, like you're using, does not. As someone else said, you should slow down. I used to be in a hurry when I made things, trying to get it done in one day, like a bag or wallet. Now I just take my time and do it right. The outcome will look much better.
Thanks for your tips. i will buy chrome leather paint for sure. Everything takes practice. That's why I chose this path of posting videos of each of my products. To see the progress
I’m enjoying the content but unfortunately your execution leaves ALOT to be desired, SLOW it down and put some love into your work!!! Some audio would be nice you can edit it in after making the products. IMO. 👍🏻
Thank you. But I never said I was a pro. I'm a natural beginner. And all my videos are a challenge for me every time. To see if I'm gonna make it. I don't do audio for one simple reason! Some people like it without it
Here's every video is a learning experience for myself. I watch videos of people doing something like this first. Then I make a video myself and try to replicate the product. Just practice, I have terrible products so far.
@Leathercraftman it's awesome that you're learning through videos and experience. I think your products are great. Keep it up and they will definitely get better!
You put the inside pieces on the outside! Jesus Christ man! Didn’t you watch a tutorial before you made that?? Delete this and go do it correctly a few times, then make a tutorial, with explanations and materials used 🤦🏼♂️
Give the guy a break! Leathercraft takes literally decades to master and we all have to start somewhere. I recommend you keep it up mate, just invest in some better tools and always be researching new techniques to try out. There is an insane amount to learn involving leathercraft and no one ever started out perfect 👍
thank you my friend! I'm just starting. these are my first projects and that's why I decided to shoot everything at once. it's more interesting that way!
Im a beginner myself, and I know how frustrating it can be when you have a picture of what you want to make in your head and it doesn't turn out that way.
