Hi! Welcome to our channel. We enjoy making videos on our travels, food and things that we find interesting that come along our way. We enjoy road trips and absolutely love cruising. Thank you for watching and we greatly appreciate your views, comments, likes and subscriptions!
Thank you for watching 😀 We were there during the 3rd week of August. We were on Princess cruise and we paid $20 per person for the shuttle. Wishing you a wonderful cruise vacation!
I've been there twice already, it's incredibly safe. Outside of the locals there selling stuff and being annoying about it, there's close to a 0% threat of anything happening. There is also military personnel stationed in various spots around the area, you may see them, you may not. Everyone there is friendly tho.
Thank you for your comment! We also felt safe when walking around in Labadee. I am sure RCL will beef up on its security should it decide to reopen the resort. 😀
Labadee is pretty isolated from the mainland and we think adequate security will be put in place if Royal Caribbean decides to re-open the resort. Besides RCL would have considered the safety of its passengers. Labadee is indeed a very beautiful place and we have yet to explore much more 😀
This video is the "free" shuttle around the port that pax can hop on/hop off - not the Dockyard Trolley that is a one hour tour that is usually a ship's excursion.
Wish more major cruise lines would visit El Salvador. I've travelled to a lot of countries (England, France, Japan, South Korea, Costa Rica, etc....) and El Salvador is my favorite. Love the people. Always warm and happy and love to laugh.
I agree with you that more cruise lines should include El Salvador in their itinerary! Glad we had the opportunity to visit this country. Our tour guide gave us some free time to walk around and we actually felt pretty safe exploring the busy streets of the city.. It was modern and clean and the people were friendly and helpful. The city was definitely developing and we enjoyed the vibrance of the city 😀
Thank you for viewing! The trolley train was right at the cruise port. There were vendors selling various tours and we got our tickets directly from them.
Hello Nice talking to you 😀 We were so happy to reach this beautiful place where you live! Missed this port, in fact all 3 scheduled Greenland ports were cancelled on embarkation day on our previous cruise. Nearly missed it again because of an approaching storm. Glad we made it and were able to do a bit of walking around the pretty town!
@@GreenlandQuilter We would love to have some more time at the lake and other places but we still had a wonderful time exploring what we could and enjoying the picturesque scenery of the town. It was definitely worth our 2nd attempt to visit Qaqortoq. 😃
@@trueposition6329 You could always come back again. Now that Nuuk's airport is about to be labeled and international airport, it will me coming and going easier for Greenland as well. I can't wait to see what flights will start happening between GL and U|SA. We live down by the lake. The lake is called "Tasersuaq," which means "big lake."
@@GreenlandQuilter Great to know that! Accessibility to Greenland cities and towns will be made easier. I am sure this is great news to those wanting to visit Greenland!
The food were delicious! Celebrity did a wonderful job. We enjoyed their pasta dishes and fish dishes. The duck dishes and the lamb dishes tasted delicious too. I have just listed some of our favorites in the description. Thank you for watching 😀
There is a complimentary ice cream station outside Windjammer entrance on this ship . You can refer to our ship video. Thank you for watching! timestamp 11:20 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JOi_muICuiw.html
Our roads in Nuuk are paved, but yeah we don’t have a lot of sidewalks. Greenland is in fact only slightly bigger than Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom together or three times the size of the US state of Texas. The ice free area rugged coastline around the country is the size of Sweden, a country with ten million people. Myggedalen is the Danish name for Mosquito Valley. Pisiffik pronounced peeseffik is the Greenlandic word for store. We do not have an official tourist office in Nuuk. It’s just a regular souvenir shop incorrectly calling itself a tourist office. Nice video of one section of Nuuk. The suburbs are not covered in this video. But what’s with the computer voice? A regular human voice would have been better.
Thank you very much for taking the time to provide more information about Greenland. Greenland is relatively remote to a lot of people and we greatly appreciate your input. Glad we are learning more 😀We took a cruise to 3 different ports in Greenland and as much as we would like to spend more time exploring the place, it was not possible with the limited time. It was actually our second cruise, we missed all 3 ports in 2022 due to a massive ice mass flowing towards Greenland. Our Greenland ports were totally cancelled on embarkation day. To be able to touch ground on this special and unique place had been a great experience for us!
Hi, it takes between 30 minutes to an hour to reach the waterfall, depending on your walking pace. Most people do not require walking poles, unless they have problems navigating slopes and some boulders. Getting down the hill would require some time too as I have seen someone slipped and hurt herself by walking very fast down the slope, no major injuries though thankfully. Hope this helps 😀. Thanks for watching!
Volveré algún día a esa tierra amada.
It was an amazing experience to be up close to these beautiful icebergs! There were at least 2 private vendors when we were there, hope you are able to enjoy the iceberg boat tour experience. Have a wonderful vacation!😀
Thank you very much 😃We are very glad that we had the opportunity to visit this very remote capital of Greenland with an unique history, culture and spectacular scenery!
