A lot of people don’t realized that while they look sort of like Horses in lore the Krieg mounts are just as cloned and fucked as the soldiers they are these mutant beasts that are liable to be just a dangerous without their rider as with one.
2:41 When muskets were invented armor was abandoned when it became obselete, but slowly it has returned. In World War 1, the metal helmet came first, then in World war 2 and Cold war, you get some forms of body armor. Now soldiers are more heavily armed than ever. Whichever general reads this trend and fully armors his soldiers would be unstoppable. Like Napoleon when he realized cannons and artillery is the future and so he focused on it. Whoever can jump ahead 100+ years in thinking will win. Create soldiers like this and you cannot be stopped.
This is just so good and well edited! 25th listen in a row man! WH40k what a terrifying weapon! " IN FEAR OF NOTHING, THEY LEAD THE IMPERIUM INTO WAR!"
Something that was explained to me I found interesting. They aren't suicidal they are fearless. Wich is even more terrifying. Suicidal means they disregard safety for death but the Korps uses tactics and thinks too you can see that in the way they clear the trenches and tunnels. They let the Marine take in the heavy gun as they duck. Then continue on. You see when the Chaos Marine shows they switch tactics again and attack like they trained for it.
40k dreadnoughts are awesome! Playing as one in a video game, just being let loose on a whole swarm of tyranids would be the ultimate badass level. I don’t know why but being an unstoppable walking box of death eviscerating unholy demon monsters sounds like the ultimate “this is so cool!” power fantasy moment in a video game for me. More to protect my dudes from being turned into nasty flesh creatures than anything else but still
Korpsman: "What does the eldritch horror see before dying?" *giggles Commissar: *sigh "What?" Korpsman: "MY SHOVEL! HAHA Get it?" Entire Korp: *laughs maniatically* Some korpsman in the back: "And a 100 thousand dead Korpsmen!" Another korpsman in the front: "Ha! Hopefully!" Commissar, genuinely concerned: "Ya'll need help..."
If anyone wants to know what 1::07 is based on, it is the attack on Terra that took place during a Parade happening after their years long fight, this was a victory parade that even included Titans. That target acquired was from the jets on patrol, I won't ruin it but it is why he looks up and then bad things happen. This is in the book Eisenhorn. Also, Dreadnaughts are terrifying, given that they have in their "body" an extremely experienced Space Marine that is permanently connect to the machine and given a second life. Filled with nothing but hate for the enemies of the Emperor. Completely fearless with zero remorse. 1:21, you know how scary that would be? To be that soldier? He freezes... Something about that claw is so scary to me, maybe because I know how strong hydraulics are, it is just unnerving for it be a part of a "physical body" and the simplicity it can ruin you with. Now add in the chaingun and flamethrower, the weight of the dreadnaught and how fast it really is, such a great weapon for the Imperium.
One thing you should do about the audio is use the equalizer and drop the middle frequencies. You still get the benefit of audible music. But there's a sweet spot for the voices to fit right in.
