G3 Sportsman is a multi-species outdoor show that travels the country in their G3 Boats to highlight the everyday outdoorsman. Host Scott Turnage hooks up with guides, outfitters, and anyone else who enjoys hunting and fishing. Crappie, bass, catfish, walleye, smallmouth, stripers, white bass, or any other species, if it can be pursued, the G3 Sportsman Team will put it to video.

Great video, my favorite river to fish. Been fishing the Gasconade for 58 years from Jerktail down past Hazzlegreen. I run a 16/52 Blazer with a Mercury 60/40 Jet and it is perfect for that water.

Greetings sir, you still using the same set up from your Forward facing set up video? I noticed some people were doubting you, but it helped me out a lot on the water yesterday. I was just wondering if you had made any adjustments or have any tips since that video. Thank you in advance.

Thanks Scott for the heads up about the new jig head. Wishing I was still fishing all the time so I could use them. Me and the rest of the over the hill gang will watch you young bucks and see how it's done today. Some of you probably didn't ever use red yarn tied on the hook with the minnow to help entice the fish or bull fogs. Stay safe and keep up the great videos. Fred.

Meat run is the right term because that's not fishing. You can see the fish swimming live on a computer and dropping baits in front of their face. That technically should be confiscated and destroyed.

Hey Scott. On the Sportsmans 2100. Can you order it and they build it without the giant livewell in the back. Wood make for a lot more cockpit room. Thanks

I’m afraid not. The big Angler V’s have lots of cockpit room. You can check them out.

Hey Scott and Jeff, sure glad you ran out of Crappie and had to get the sweeper out to fill the larder up. That was a great trip on Truman, the lake was so calm and the fishing was awesome as usual . A guide in East Texas told my wife he would take me out fishing in October. It will be so good to even get on the lake after all this time off. Looking forward to some fresh fish of any type . You all Stay safe and keep up the great videos here on G3 Sportsman. Fred.

Thanks for the video. I'm sure this still works, but I believe the cable should technically be toward the rear when using the LVS34. Again I think it will still work, since it's hard to have the 34 actually backwards, but it might make it harder to switch to perspective mode if that's something people do.

I own a 2014 G3 V185 SF (Sport Fisherman?) with a Yami 115, Honda 9.9, Minnkota Ulterra 24V on the bow, and full Lowrance electronics. It rides on a Bear Trailer with modular tongue that allows me to store it in my garage, with inches to spare. This boat has fished most of the Great Lakes, targeting Walleye, Perch, King and Coho Salmon, Steelhead, etc etc. I looked at the latest (2024 models) at our local fishing show this January, and was very pleased to see that G3 made a few changes for the better. I really like what they did with the rear livewell (center, not under the port side seat any more), and redesigned the gunnel storage from on top of to the insides of both gunnels (yes, we do need that open gunnel space to mount rod holder tracks, downriggers, etc.). One question I have for G3: Is the hull in the 2024 model built using the same “double layered” aluminum as is the case in my 2014, or did they change it and go to a single layer? This is very important to me and to my passengers as the “double layer” is very solid and imparts very good ride performance in rough water. Thanks in advance, Sincerely, Jay
