They are not protection dogs,.Teaching them such is a disservice to the breed. Anyone engaging them in aggression in any manner is an moron. Bull terriers are great guard dogs and they barely need any training to prove it. They are aggressive towards other dogs and can be very protective of what they believe it's theirs. Growing up my family had a healthy athletic bull terrier and I remember he was way more protective with me than my malinois is with me now. Don't forget what was the first purpose of the breed and how strong these dogs are despite their size.
