I trained on Scarabs, I agree that regular hunter training sucks. Btw, if you don't have the fishing levels for the other dinos, you can do swarm fishing, although it can take a while.

Abilities don't use ammo or runes unless they proc an effect or add buff stacks. You'll use a hydrix bolt if you get an adren proc, you'll use runes if you get the heal and AoE with Blood Barrage on autocast, but 1 dinarrow and 5 air runes is sufficient to kill armies made of armies as long as you make sure you never autoattack. This does apply to chins, btw; a full Rapid Fire into a crowd of enemies for all 72 damage hits uses 0 chins.
Love the vids ended up quitting RS 2 years ago got burnt out because of all the MTX. Ended up making a Ironman about a month ago and am loving all the new content!

Congrats on unlocking invention! Huge milestone for the account. I'd recommend making a fishing rod-o-matic so while you are afk editing/working you can still get some invention xp while you fish. Obviously you are going for the Sunspear since it's the GOAT ironman weapon but in the meantime you could look to unlock the blue Balmung(t70 2h melee, 300k reclaim). It has pretty decent reqs in the entire Fremennik questline and Koschei's Troubles, but it could be a nice stepping stone on your way to finishing River of Blood. Of course you could always go the Necro route and do the t70 tank tasks for Kili since you can do both power/tank tasks at each tier(you aren't locked to a certain path, as soon as you finish one you can start the other). The Neco t70 gear is not hard to make and you can fully disassemble the weapons and armor each time and they are fairly quick to remake. 16 lesser cloth, 4 lesser thread, 10 normal cloth, 6 normal thread, 90 spirit runes, and 40 flesh runes for the top/bottom 14 lesser bars, 14 normal bars, 150 bone runes for MH/OH
You nailed it, and good shout on the Balmung. I’ll have to keep that in mind. As for necro, getting tank gear to d/a was the plan originally. But I decided to put it on pause so I have reason to train the other styles for the time being. Might not be the most efficient, but its the path i chose lol
