I have many theological problems with Eastern "Orthodoxy", but one thing I love, if not envy about them, is how insanely good their singing voices are. LIKE HOW ARE YOU SO GOOD AT CHANTING!? HOW!? WHY!?
This is peaceful, words are nice and SLOW with heart felt meaning to it.Why do most rush through it so fast, as fast as they can over and over in the same monotone voice. Also when they read the bible in chant form in Church. Too fast too monotonous and just horrible you cannot even tell what is being said in your own language. I find it very hard to deal with in Church and truly think it is an insult to Jesus. Just want to ask someone WHY ? I came here and searched for the Jesus Prayer in Russian as I thought I do not think they do the same and I see they do not. Thankfully
I'm struggling in the adversities of life if it's temptation, overthinking, holding on to my past, seeing my parents struggle, finances have not been going so well for my family, people showing me hate, making fun of me! But most importantly, I have betrayed God like Judas Iscariot just for Lust and Wrath, but I know that there is still hope, it's in God!
