My question is how in the world did that selector switch break off like that 🤣 That’s a solid steel switch… what kind of force made that happen!?! 😳 Hats off to the rest of the ratchet staying intact 🤣

I was replacing the white tube part that holds the football the level. And everytime I would adjust the level flathead screw part the water would push the white tube part up out of the toilet. What am I doing wrong?
@learnsavediy
@learnsavediy День назад
When you say white tube, are you talking about the fill valve (on the left of the toilet that has the float attached to it) or the flush valve (on the right where the black tube empties water down)? I’m confused on which white tube part is being pushed out by the water?

Just to clarify, I see you turning the flywheel COUNTER clockwise and then banging it with the hammer. I'm a noob to these things but I think I seen some info saying not to turn the flywheel counter clockwise because it can mess something up??? I can't remember where I read or saw on a video but can you please confirm if thats' true? I need to remove the flywheel as well and I don't want to mess something up. Usually does the flywheel spin clockwise or counter clockwise when standing and looking down at the flywheel from the top of the deck? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
@learnsavediy
@learnsavediy День назад
Yes I did spin it clockwise and it didn’t damage my mower. Still running just fine. You can tell the direction yours turns by removing the spark plug boot and then just pulling the starter cord slowly to see which direction it spins. Most motors turn clockwise but it’s a very easy test to verify.

i think grinding down just the one side of the hole so the switch fits snuggly and comes through to weld them together, (iv never don't anything like this but i think that would have been my approach if i saw something like this)

I agree. I am under no assumption that this is a substitution for a weld but for a temporary solution on a not-often-used mechanism/tool, it will do for now until I learn to weld!

(Flashing error) make sure to check the temp sensor tab (rightmost P tab on the side, I believe) if one is lower or dented, use a pick to bend it back straight.... sometimes it isn't the cells; it can just be a bad connection on that P terminal causing the device as well as the charger to think it is overheating.
