Its purpose could be explained in less than a minute. and its all wrong. that spiral on the cone is there to let other people know if the engine is spinning or not.
PROPELLERS HAVE TO BE THEE MOST INEFFICIENT MEANS OF PROPULSION TO EVER BE INVENTED. THERE IS A SO MUCH BETTER WAY THAT SAVES 1/2 THE FUEL AND ALLOWS ALL SHIPS TO INCREASE SPEED 50%!!
It was indeed a marvel of engineering when it was constructed. Now, on the face of the mighty Three Gorges Dam in China, it doesn't 😐 stand a chance 😒 any longer!
Hiring crew and resources, plotting out sailing routes and finding docking areas for the amount of ships it can transport at once is a waste, isn't it?
If they were to do that it would significantly reduce the ability the aircraft would be able to fly and it could possibly break into the engine doing more damage than a bird could
This is quite shocking to read "Bird strike engine test / this is how airplanes are tested" & never show "The actual test" being conducted in a basic testing facility ! This isn't "top Secret stuff nor is it Classsified & takes about 3 minutes to find it on you tube ! Another thing FlashInfo don't mention is Testing is done with frozen birds & 2 reasons for that is 1) frozen birds create more danage than fresh ones during flight which increases safety issues 2) every time testing is done, they do not have to go out & kill a bunch of different but very fresh birds then have a bunch of bird acticists create this whole other un-necessary issue for cruelty to animals ! They also don't just test 1 bird at a time per engine it's more like 4-5-6 at a time ! Aviation safety stands on it's own & most are not aware of the hundreds of backing systems covering the most primary systems any commercial needs to fly. Just the cables / wiring of a Boeing 747 end to end exceeds a 140 mile distance. "FlashImfo where they give you 1/2 the info"
