At Assistance Dogs Australia, we understand the important bond between humans and dogs.
Assistance Dogs Australia is a national charity which trains Labradors and Golden Retrievers to perform tasks for people living with a range of disabilities throughout Australia. Learning up to 50 commands, we ensure that an Assistance dog is not only man's best friend, but most helpful friend too.
Each Assistance Dog takes up to two years and costs up to $60,000 to train to meet the individual needs of each person on our waiting list.
We currently support clients and train Assistance Dogs for: - Physical Disabilities - Autism - Post-Traumatic stress Disorder (PTSD) - Dementia - Schools and Special Educational Needs Facilities

I can’t figure out how to have the opportunity to have an assistance dog. The freedom I imagine would be immeasurable. Please donate if you can. People get repeated service dogs while others wait for their first. The years pass quickly and the opportunity to really live grows less. Thanks to those of you who donate your time, money or any amount of you, I thank you and may you always be blessed.
Hello! I'm interested in the IguVerse project and I think that it would be great if you could collaborate! They are making a gaming project where people will share 1 percent (or more!) of their in-game income with animal welfare organizations. I think that they could be great help to you!

That is just awesome that there are now dogs for people who suffer with dementia!! They are just so intelligent these dogs & I think the trainers are just incredible too. Thank you to all the trainers & dogs out there helping people with dementia.
I could only ever dream of having an assistance dog to help me pick things v up that I've dropped from my wheelchair but a Disability Support pension doesn't stretch that far.
