Apparently Peter Graf, Steffi Graf's father, was kind of a controlling asshole about her tennis career, and was convicted of nearly $10M worth of tax evasion in 1997 - meaning around when this came out. Putting that in a game aimed at kids is some next level audacity
I'm running a season with randomized players and one of the randomly selected players was Billy Jean Blackwood. I've honestly been impressed with how she plays. She hits nukes. The hard part is connecting on her swing just right but I recently went yard twice in the same game with her. She has the same problem as Mikey Thomas and Marky Dubois. Strong bats but they're slow as hell. You basically have to go yard or it's an automatic out. I have noticed that having Marky on the same team as Billy Jean boosts his stats. He must be trying to impress her or something. But yeah. Love my rednecks. Pete, Marky, Billy Jean. Them kids remind me of some friends I grew up with down here in NC.
