Works only if there is no extra fat or anything that has accumulated over years. Impossible to remove if the ring is embedded however.

Use string instead of elastic. And thread through the ring first then wrap around finger from ring to nail. Works every time

This works well. My son had a ring stuck. His knuckle was swollen. We tried one of the other ideas that may have worked if his knuckle wasn’t swollen.

I used chapstick. There's wax in it, so it won't absorb into your skin.
