Thank you for your video. I noticed your classical guitar has a cutaway, which is not so common. What do you think of the debate cutaway vs non cutaway guitars (as well as for acoustic guitars)?
Thanks for the video. I want to record myself playing over RU-vid backing tracks but Reaper is only hearing my guitar. I'm using a Helix LT connected direct via USB. Both the backing track and guitar play through the same speaker using the Helix as the output device but only guitar is recording in Reaper. Any idea what's wrong?
I have the same model with a spalted maple top. I installed Graph Tech Ratio tuners (they drop right in - no drilling) and Fender USA string trees. This guitar is awesome. The neck is magic. I have 3 other guitars that cost twice as much and this one is just as good on all levels.
Dear Cesar. What a fantastic lesson. I’d just learned this wonderful song on another channel - good enough but your little embellishments nail it, e.g. the fast D on the return to Cmaj7 and also the additional G in the Cmaj7 chord. I simply can’t play that Emaj7 but play an A-shape on the 2nd fret. The standard Emaj7 open is a real good alternative rather than spoiling it trying to play it like you do. Simply can’t stretch that far. Muchas gracias.
Thanks! I’ve got a slightly different issue, I only hear the buzzing when I play the open third string while pressing the fifth string on the 7th fret or the sixth string on frets 8 to 12. The buzzing definitely comes from the pressed string, not the played one, just like you showed in the video. I’m going to try raising the nut or switching to higher-tension strings.
I ran into that on my guitars. Sympathetic resonance causing a non-played string to back-buzz. My other guitar has a slight back-buzz when I play the third string at the 11th fret but when I play both the third and forth string together at the 11th fret the buzz gets very loud, even though it is only the third string that is buzzing.
Thank you!!! What an informative and detailed video. Love the video zoom to the guitar parts you are talking about. Makes it clear and so understandable to new guitar players. Looking forward to more videos from your channel!!!
Abrazo
Gracias!
Beautiful sounding instrument (and nice choice with Fields of Gold). I still own a Camps solid spanish guitar. It's got half the width of a regular classical guitar, and it's got no chamber, being solid wood. Very good for similar purposes as the silent guitar. No feedback, easy set up. No effects, though :)
Thanks so much for watching! Yeah, those instruments were great for these purposes... In my case I find the Yamaha Silent great for practicing with the headphones on - I can hear mistakes better - the Piezo does not forgive, specially with a pinch of reverb you can hear all the imperfections when fretting,,,
