When he first appears in the White Orchard inn, he seems to be just an inconspicuous merchant NPC at first glance, but in fact, as the plot develops, you will find that he is the most terrifying and powerful existence in The Witcher verse.
My brain is resonating in remembrance. Very few videogame osts chill me, but this is definitely one of them. Never make a deal with anything that gives bad vibes.
When i start playing HoS for the first time and Gaunter said we meet in the tavern at the beginning of the game... I didn't remember him and i thought he was messing with me
Be honest. Who hasn't been owed something, or witnessed excessively evil/arrogant/rude people and at least had thoughts which would align with the behavior of O'dimm? The 'justice system' is based on imposing a physical kind of hell on bad people. O'Dimm is really just a personification of this vengeful/'justice-seeking'/domineering mindset. This is one of the reasons that Jesus is God. He completely contradicts the logic of the devil.
When I played this in the game, It was so beautifully written and weaved into the story. And a theme I think we can all relate to. The desire for power and immortality. but not know the torment of getting what you wished for. Something we want might not be as it seems.
Man I hope so, but they'd have to fit him in a way that players wouldn't notice who they're dealing with because no sane Witcher 3 fan would make a deal with O'Dim
Dude this storyline caught me by surprise. It was a bit light-hearted and funny sometimes till you finally set eyes on the caretaker at Olgeird's mansion, and then everything shifts.
@@Mohgenstein you’ve never played cyberpunk then… I’d argue the cyberpunk universe is even better than the Witcher.. The dlc alone has Reed, Songbird, Myers, the twins, Hansen, Mr Hands, Milko, Alan Noel, Jago, Charlie etc. All really well made characters
I can't express how well written o' Dimm is. if Heart of stone is a standalone game or Witcher 4 it will be even more successful its kinda overshadowed ngl by main story and what an OST, the feeling i felt when i heard the kids singing this tone and lyrics at the crossroad before meeting him! just wow no words
THIS is a DLC. An intense, terrifiying antagonist with so much lore behind it to explore. Olgierd was brilliantly written as well, so many layers of character. A few bucks extra for what could have been an outstanding game for itself. usually a "dlc" feels like a scam but these were the golden ages of dlcs. actual contet
