JAMES DEAN started it all - HIS sideburns and pompadour pushed back longer hair for the time led to Elvis - HIS attitude spoke of the rebellion of American youth to come which then influenced the youth of the world - HIS image and attitude led to what would go on to become what we know as rock and roll music - Elvis - Chuck Berry - The Beatles - Jimi Hendrix - rock - punk - grunge - It is all tied together - BUT it had to start sometime - And that sometime was with JAMES DEAN - who in my opinion was a Rebel WITH a cause !
My mother remembers watching this - and a few other - James Dean early T.V. performances when we lived on 118th street in Harlem , New York back then n the 1950s - Joe Nania
28:28 His wife must know about that kiss from last movie. If not for the cousin thing, they would probably be together and they still seem to have a strong ongoing crush.
Is James Dean supposed to mean Brad Pitt except not dead, Not dead is good so what next, without publicity stunts and fast driving on the highway. let's see who is smart
I actually prefer these tele plays to East of Eden and Rebel and Giant. Dean was a bit player in those big films, with the possible exception of Rebel, as his acting was just part of the larger mechanism of the film and overshadowed by the vision of the director. Here in these little plays he can really shine.
Gig Young was supposed to be the voice of Charlie on Charlie's Angels, but came to work drunk on his first day and was fired. He ended up killing himself and his wife. On the bright side, he was in one of the best Twilight Zone episodes about revisiting his youth.
