Sup, planning on getting a 2012 model soon and I wasn’t sure if it has an aux input, so I came to check this vid out. I may try this procedure out if not, hopefully I don’t destroy the car considering I’m fairly young and inexperienced when it comes to this stuff. Anyways, nice vid and thanks for an alternative.
I feel like how simple this is goes to show that mitsu could have more than easily just shipped this car with an aux port at little to no cost to them. Great video though. I'm considering this since it seems I'll be stuck with my eclipse for a while and I'm sick of driving with an earbud
nevermind, guess I won't be. Just checked and it would seem my particular model has the radio that can't take an aux input. Fun times. Will add to the list of ways this car has spited me -_-
I get that it’s helpful! I just don’t understand if you want auxiliary buy the 30 dollar bezel that allows a double din touchscreen. Or they make a single din or for 50 they’ll give you the bezel double and single din parts to mount. You’ll Bluetooth and aux your phone. Plus you can’t install a speaker system on the stock deck unless you line convert it and even then it will hook into the rear door speakers and it’ll play the subs like a set of door speakers. Obviously some bump but they don’t get loud. The tuning on the amp is only controlled by the input gain and the filters. No bass gain and can in tune thru the head unit as much as it allows so bass and treble and fade.
Ummm y'all do know that there's a factory AUX plug in a 2007 Eclipse right?🤨 Open the middle console. Look on the front of the inside of the middle console...You're welcome.
U know how to use the aux cable though? Just bout a 2012, has that same aux port in the console but I can't figure out how to switch to aux for the life of me
I bought my 2006 eclipse and it already came with aux cord but it like cuts off every so often so i want to change it, what is it called so i can buy it off of amazon
I use a note 10 so there is no headphone jack. My samsung adapter couldnt be recognized by this cable so i had to use a bluetooth adapter. Jus a warning in case the same happens to anyone else
My 2007 with the 6-disc is much happier with an aux jack. Ran it under the dash so it comes out near my front 1/4 window where I have my iPhone mount. Now I don’t have to worry about which 6 CDs I have with me when my wife and I do a road trip. Two thumbs up!
I know you posted this videos YEARS ago, but I recently got my 2007 special edition Mitsubishi Eclipse, first bought the part that was the white little box for all the cables. NEWBEE. and now just am buying the cable you have linked. I plan on using your video to help me install my AUX port. fingers crossed for this chick. I will report back on how it goes. overall I have faith and thank you for this video. I was SO UPSET that it didnt have an AUX port but has a setting for it? so I searched online on how to install and your video is the first one! I CANNOT WAIT TO TRY THIS AND HOPEFULLY SUCCEED AND BE ABLE TO PLAY MUSIC FROM MY PHONE!!!!!
I checked my hydraulic fluids levels and they’re normal, but the roof just won’t work. When I activate it to put the car roof down, it doesn’t make any sounds whatsoever. It stopped working out of nowhere. I even checked the fuses and they’re all good.
when I was looking at the 4g eclipse to buy, I found someone who had installed a USB as well as 2 aux ports in his stock RF system, any idea if this is the same procedure ?
