Ostravský orchestr je žádaným a úspěšným tělesem, se kterým pravidelně spolupracují dirigenti světového formátu, jako Andrey Boreyko, Domingo Hindoyan či Tomáš Netopil. V nedávné minulosti s orchestrem vystoupili - ať už v Ostravě, nebo na turné - významní sólisté, jako například cellisté Gautier Capuçon a Steven Isserlis, houslisté Lisa Batiashvili a Vadim Gluzman, zpěváci Elīna Garanča a Jonas Kaufmann, klavíristé Jean‑Efflam Bavouzet, Boris Giltburg a Simon Trpčeski a mnoho dalších. Od roku 2020 do roku 2024 působil na pozici šéfdirigenta a uměleckého ředitele Vassily Sinaisky. Od roku 2026 bude tento post zastávat Daniel Raiskin, který se od roku 2024 představí v roli hlavního hostujícího dirigenta. Renomé JFO zajišťuje zejména stovka prvotřídních hudebníků nejen z České republiky, ale i ze zahraničí. Ročně orchestr odehraje pro domovské publikum přes padesát koncertů.
Startling interpretation. Punchy and non legato. It lacks warmth despite the assiduous employment of a rubato that provides charm but not deep poetry. Someone on this post compared him to Gilels, who excelled in this score (with Jochum.) I just don't see it other than both men possess an invulnerable technical keyboard command. Vondracek has an unusual technique. He relies almost exclusively on his strong fingers (thumb, index and third) more so than other pianists. His Rachmaninoff concertos are beyond praise.

This is a clearly reference performance of the concerto--a gift to Schnittke! Andrey Boreyko, Tomáš Vrána, and Janáček Philharmonic had created a masterpiece! I can't have enough listening to it. Thank you
Dobrý den, teprv dnes jsem našla Vaše provedení Beethovenova Trojkoncertu. Málokdy se vyjadřuji k čemukoliv, ale dnes musím. Většina mojí rodiny učila klavír na ZUŠ, strýc a teta také housle a klavír na Konzervatoři v Kroměříži. Já jsem schopná poslouchat pouze Beethovena. Trojkoncert jsem slyšela v tisících podobách. Toto Vaše podání je ovšem ze všech s přehledem nejlepší. Maiskyfamily jsou v procítění až za vámi. Díky moc.

When a performance hall is too lively, the sound waves bounce off the walls and other surfaces, creating a reverberation effect. This can make it difficult to hear the individual notes and voices in a performance, especially in the case of a horn quartet, where the instruments have a relatively narrow range of pitches.

I saw Lukas with Korea National Sympony at Seoul, Korea last Sunday. So passinate and romantic. His piano made about 2K audience fallen into silence. He kept calm 10 seconds after his last touch (Rachmaninov piano concerto no.2), perfect silience between audience and him!!
