This was a great video! You guys caught some fantastic fish! Hope all is well for you! A while back you had told me to let you know the next time I am out on the island. I am currently in Nanaimo and will be for the rest of the year! Hopefully we can meet up and do some fishing together!
Hey guys, love your stuff! Heading up there on Thursday. Any tips? Are there lings on the inside too? I see lots of interesting structure and am wondering if they hold lings? Any hali advice? Mahalo!
It’s bigger than any salmon caught in comments. Princess salmon, not dynamite fishing and illegal poaching gill netting like you savages! Maybe saved up to come for whole life to catch it, big fish! Didn’t lose it! It’s not the size of the fish it’s the…nah
Well Capt K-D, you don't know what you don't know and that's ok! If you are up our way let's go for a fish. At least I hope you liked the videod 😀Cheers Pete.
I nearly had a heart attack when I checked the price of Nordgear. I’ll stick with Scotty… My Scotty swivels have never failed and they’re a fraction of the price! 👌🏻
At 3:45 video skips over the only part I needed to see - if the two pins can be removed by hand or I need a tool. Maybe someone will do a video on removing the plow.
Hi there, the hooks of the plow end easily hook onto the mount on the bracket of the unit, then the pins slide in easily. It takes about 10 seconds to unhook or hook up. I can do a video of that if you'd like.
Hey guys! Love your videos, especially the focus on Nootka. I was up at Moutcha Bay last August and fell in love with the fishing and the area. We are going up three weeks earlier this year, last week in July, and am looking for some advice. When we fished last year the fish were stacked in the bay. I am guessing that it might be a bit early for that and the fish will be spread out. Any advice on where to start? I am bringing ups some friends for their first trip and would love to get them into some halis and/or lings but I think they are subject to getting sick in big seas. Any areas inside the Sound that you could steer me towards would be appreciated. I would understand if you would prefer to communicate privately. Mahalo - david
Love your videos boys! Hey, I am heading to Nootka the last week in June. Any tips to share? What's the troll at Freindly Cove? Any ling cod spots to share? Mahalo.
We are there the first week of July this year. When do you leave Nootka? Where are you staying? Troll is anywhere near or around Friendly, had to say year over year. Sometimes the fish are there, sometimes not. Best to get on the outside, then try all the usual spots. Ling cod = offshore spots on the out crops. Great luck! Keep me posted.
We will be there from July 26 to August 2 at Moutcha Bay Resort. Perhaps you would be willing to share the intel from your trip? Mahalo!@@coastalblueadventuresltd.1750
Thanks for the thorough video! We are looking at an 2008 2360. How does the boat ride in some chop? Does it feel sturdy when fishing? Anything we need to look out for on the boat?
Hi there, I've made the very stupid mistake of overtightening the screw (at 0:10) and the head of the screw has broken off in an attempt to loosen it. Do you have any recommendations on how I would extract the remaining screw out of the hole? Thanks
Cool video of the wolf eel. The only one I caught was in Nootka sound and it was about 6’ long. Great fishing adventure. Lots of nice fish! Awesome stuff 👍🏼👍🏼
Yah, not too common getting caught on a line. Lots in traps in the past. When do you go to Nootka? We are there first of July. Cheers and thanks for watching.
@@coastalblueadventuresltd.1750 was many years ago with Dad, might try it this season but won’t be able to venture out too far as my boat is on the smaller size. Been fishing the coast for 40 years and have a lot of respect for the area. Would need to put radar on the boat and they might be a challenge. But there are a couple of good spots in closer or could stick with the Broken group further south. Looking forward to this upcoming year. Cheers
