As a devout Catholic Man, I also am a Stand-Up Comedian, Software Developer/Engineer and have 6 Kids with my wonderful and supportive wife. There is a high chance that we won't agree on some things, and that's perfectly ok with me. But I'm not one for echo-chambers. I believe in honest game discussions and will even talk about real life stuff in segments called Class Dismissed. Why they need a moon studio account ?? We already have a steam account. I play online in all steam games with my steam account. If they require a moon account all of a sudden I want a refund, I did not ask for this
It’s to bridge the gap between platforms. It’s pretty standard practice for cross/play/save games some of them just handle it in the background or you set it up so long ago that it’s already done and it just connects
To each their own, this game was a snoozefest for me. Aside from fighting the same few enemy types over and over again and "exploring" there's nothing to do. Tbe combat isn't very fun imo either. Yeah climbing large monsters is a cool gimmicky feature, for the first 3 times you do it. I'd say if you're interested in getting it wait until It's on sale, not worth full price.
Do I have to start a character using the controller to make it work? when i go to the controller settings it is blank on all the things and i can't change them. I am using a Nintendo Pro Controller via bluetooth and I also have a USB controller
Hey Brian!!!! I would definitely have a moon studios account creation “option” for cross platform/multiplayer experience while playing “online”. It has to be free though. From a business perspective, it’s viable long term. The other way is inconvenient for moon studios, even though it’s doable.. it’s just another addition to the equation that will not be cost effective. For the common folk, it will be easy. Yes. But, if someone can’t find 5 minutes to create a free account to experience greatness with other people… you lazy af 😅. I said it. Love you! Keep up the good work!

i mean if its a one time download and i dont have to log into steam to play and you guys add a save username and password so i dont have to think about it after the first time i wouldnt mind
im only ever gonna play this on my PC or steam deck. i dont need an account to play on other devices. if they wanna do it, i dont care, however i am super tired of having to have multiple accounts for differnt games, its just annoying. im not gonna buy this game multiple times on differnt platforms if they always thought about it from the beginning, then why not just have gone forward that way, instead of brining this up and potentially cause problems. kinda dumb.
People won’t like this. Guaranteed that the Steam rating will suffer. I haven’t bought the game yet and multi player is not a selling point for me. Personally I think Moon should get the game to that 90% positive review score on Steam that the developer said they were after first before doing something that will hurt the review score even further.
6 kids. dang i wish we could have kids but were both 41 and still cant afford them. not much time left for us. makes me sad on a daily basis that ill probably never have a family.
I’m so sorry my dude, that sounds tough. I don’t know your situation, but I’m praying for you. My wife and I paid off a lot of debt before we started having kids and we live debt free now which helps out dramatically. I’d point you to Dave Ramsey because his system really helped us. I hope and pray you don’t miss your window but even if you do, adoption is a great option as well.
Bullshit reason. As if people will buy multiple copies for multiple systems. They just try to justify collecting data and selling it. Steam provides everything they need in terms of multiplayer.
"life is better with limitations" very true for many things. art is a prime example (pixel art and game dev are the main ones that I think of). limitations make things a puzzle, which brings crazy ingenious solutions you never would have thought of otherwise.
Perfectly honest, I don’t like it whenever a game requires a 3rd party account. I already got too many from other games to keep track of. But if it is optional. And only required for things like crossplay and crossprogression, then I would be fine with it. On another note, I really hope they add local/couch co-op for console down the line. I would love to play this game with my brother.
I dont like this idea of creating an account at Moon Studio, Sony did that and a lot of people on steam are pissed at them, i already bought the game on EA, but if that was a requirement at launch i dont think i would buy the game, i think it would scare a lot of people of too.
baldurs gate 3 have also its own client and login when you launch it from steam and you need to reqister in larian studio own account and no one complains it. when you play any mmorpg gaems you need to create own acoount for that game, nothing new in this industry

I don't got a problem with the account. Always in such cases I just want to be assured that my information is not used for anything unnecessary. That's it.
I am good with a moon account, i played warframe before and found it all right. But I do think what comes next matters, e.g. will there be a moon launcher? Will there be in game purchases etc. And seriously pls dont take genshin as a good example lol.
I think the reason for creating an account makes sense, it's so you have one location for your save data on their side (thinking cloud save style) that allows you to access your worlds and characters from multiple devices. I think what happened with hell divers2 could've been mitigated had they launched the game with these requirements. If nrftw launches with an optional account creation for multiplayer and cross saves with the option to opt out should be fine. You need to let your players have agency, or at least the appearance of choice.

the thing that attracted me the most was the rumored BIG OPEN world(literally) to explore. having played their previous title NMS, throughout its multiple stages (update after update) and knowing how dedicated HG are, they have my trust and i can't wait to get my hands on LNF.
Loved this episode, can’t wait for the next update, but In between secessions when I have had a chance I have been using my Iphone to farm, repair, or sale off old gear or craft , on break at work. Great message by the way Brian
I am really worrying when Thomas said that when you have level 30 in a game and you already max out your character you won't have much challenge in a game and you will finish it much quicker......! It means that game won't be more complex and most what we seen we already witnessed and experienced. Looks like not much we gonna get expect new area to explore and couple new bosses......
I’d assume your on PC from your question and I’d say if you’re not actively playing something else and loving it that it’s great to pick this up now. There will be downtime between patches mind you so as long as you don’t force yourself to grinding when you don’t want to grind. You’ll do just fine. I’ve put over 100+ hours into the game and still love it
@@GingerPrimeGaming I bought it after watching you talk about it for an hour lol. I'm playing this and the First Descendants as my main games. I was apprehensive about No Rest for the Wicked, but it's a gem despite its flaws. I even got my son a copy. Good stuff.
47:00 The problem with Nintendo is more about their timing more than anything. They deliberately waited until Palworld surpassed Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in sales first before going after Pocket Pair over game mechanics. It's too early for Square Enix to show anything new as well. Whatever was in production was likely scrapped after the terrible reception of the Dragon Quest spin offs and Final Fantasy XVI and Rebirth. With the upcoming release of the Romancing Saga 2 remake and Dragon Quest 3 remake, it feels like a very deliberate attempt to try to win back the Japanese audience. I doubt we'll even see Dragon Quest 1 and 2 until summer of 2025. We probably won't hear any Final Fantasy news until late next year either.
would be cool to have like an oldschool d2 style trade chat and have like a meetup server to trade in, unsure how itd work though lol but i agree with the no auction house it just doesn't feel great in any game ive played and just takes away from the social feel to the game. also with multiplayer itd be good to increase the difficulty in some way based on how many people in the server so its still a challenge.
