I was advised by NHS Urogynaeology Nurse, that you should definitely not try to pull a cube pessary out by simply pulling on the string as this will damage the skin in your vagina and be painful. You have to break the vacuum where it fits inside your vagina, by using your fingers along the edge(s). and then ease it out. The string is meant to be a guide once it’s sufficiently loosened. It will hurt if you just pull as the suction will resist and the walls of the vagina will get damaged.
It has to be removed daily, washed in warm water and air dried, best at night, before sleep or sex. It cannot be left inside when having sex hence vital to remove beforehand.
I've tried many different sizes but all of them were not suitable, some fall out, some too big, some caused so much pain, one made me bleed, I'm now waiting for a operation for my prolapse bladder which happened after I had a hysterectomy a few years ago 😢🇬🇧

Please update on how you do after your surgery. I have a severe prolapse, not even considering surgery yet due to heart problems. But I'd sure like to know if it works well for you. I need some hope. God bless you
I had a full hysterectomy a few years ago and it left me with a prolapse bladder I was advised to excise but after time's gone by my bladder became so low and painful I've had many different size rings some fall out, some were to painful I'm so unhappy I'm now waiting to see my doctor this week, I'm so scared to have another operation just incase something goes wrong 💔 🇬🇧
I had one fitted yesterday. It restricted my urine flow. So I removed it and it’s not that easy to remover it. The pain was hideous and I bled. Would not recommend it at all.
Hi, thank you for the video, I really needed it. What was the thing you mentioned in the video starts with L, you said to put on the edge before inserting the pessary in?
@@pngtr thank you so much, first time pessary, and getting used to it, and I know it’s strange but I haven’t used any Lubricant before,, that’s why your input is very helpful I live in Toronto Canada, hope KK is available here.
The setting option is the circle on the top right hand corner of the video. The select “captions”, auto generate and lastly Spanish. You don’t need it on Spanish if you can read Spanish it’ll auto translate everything for you. Even this can be auto translated. There a button under my message that’ll say “translate to Spanish” if your first language is Spanish and all your setting are set to it
Use a Pessary holder & find the hole with the holder, don't bear down Once if you have accessed to the hole of a Pessary then you'll have to make it 90 degrees & fold & then gently pull out by inhaling
She makes this insertion so much easier than the way I was told to do it. I was told to turn the pessary around until the 2 large side holes were turned around some way and I could never do it. But this way I can.
My OB gave me this exact pessary, except he told me to insert it knob-first. It seemed to be working fine, until I got period. I had pain like I've never felt before, intense cramping after I took it out and it seemed to stop my flow (for example, I put it in the first day of my period before it had started. When I took it out, there was pink discharge and I knew my period was starting but it never flowed out after I removed the pessary - I just had intense cramping most of the day and my period didn't start flowing until the following day). So sorry for the long-winded question - but I'm trying to understand what was happening by inserting it knob-first versus knob-facing-out. Hopefully that makes sense.
