Is a 2x12 on each side of the post strong enough to span 12 feet? Trying to get an opinion before I build.

I recently tied down my 7 × 8 deer shack down with 3' long ground anchors and 5/16" coated cable. I'm so glad if did that! Also you might want to put 2×4s around the parameter just off the ground fastening all the legs together helping to keep the legs from spreading at the base. Just a thought. Work safe & Happy Hunting!

Strange how the moment the wolf walks up an orb drifts down to it then disappears. The forest is with you or it's gonna come a helluva snow. Cool video either way.

I have no idea what it is, but its colors and the ring around its neck are very cool.
@Deppie05
@Deppie05 22 дня назад
it appears that the snake is likely a Ringneck Snake (Diadophis punctatus). This species is characterized by a distinctive ring around the neck, which can be white, yellow, or orange, contrasting with the darker color of the head and body. The rest of the body is typically gray, black, or dark brown with a smooth, glossy appearance. Ringneck snakes are small, non-venomous, and usually found in a variety of habitats across North America.

In Colorado when a wolf kills livestock that being sheep or cows then the taxpayers of Colorado pay the Rancher for his loss and as I mentioned for deer and Elk the loss of revenues these monies used for Habitat Improvement for all animals fish and birds
@roefamily
@roefamily Месяц назад
My comment was about Colorado and recent introduction of wolves not negative about wolves per se but I don't believe wolves should be allowed to destroy the revenue from big game hunting and viewing thus habitat Improvement for all animals suffer as the money goes away
@roefamily
@roefamily Месяц назад
Elk bring in millions and millions of dollars this money is used for all animals and birds and fish via biologist habitat improvements Etc the problem is the wolves kill the elk and deer then the money for all the animals dies everybody suffers for a wolf

Wolfs are just dogs. Plain and simple. Any reasonably strong human with a big pry bar and a big beer can do irreparable damage to a pack of wolves real fast. They aren't bears. Bears don't care about shingles.
