I just want to say thank you. There is so much gatekeeping in this industry and your willingness and generosity to share your knowledge is greatly appreciated. I find you very educational and helpful. I also love your style! I am a (new) designer, and am grateful for you. Also, your style quiz is my favorite. I am one of the few weirdos who actually has gotten different responses when I've taken it multiple times. :)
Just came from your interior design quiz and it was so accurate!! You're so good at what you do, please stay in business until I finally own my childhood home lol
I just caught this video from your recent email about painting a room chocolate in your home (I think you should - I have a large chocolate wall in my bedroom and it looks like soft suede!). I love this - very insightful thoughts about narowing down what we are attracted to. One of the comments below said it was a bad idea because they like to wear one thing, yet live in a neutral environment. I think the part they may have missed is that your clothes (or art, or other visuals you are drawn to) may be a starting point. It indicates what you like (and more importantly, don't like!). You also pointed out it is just as important to figure out how you want to feel in your home and how those colors make you feel. Good stuff!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts Danielle, and love hearing that you have a chocolate wall in your bedroom! I'm trying out my chocolate paint samples now :)
So helpful! We did this when considering adding side chairs to our small living room. We put two dining chairs there for a while to see how it felt. It felt great, so we bought permanent ones!
Sadly one of the ingredients for Cedar + Rose was discontinued so she had to stop making them! Rosemary & Oud #6 is the replacement fragrance she made and is also lovely.
I’m in exactly in this spot right now. Love the small experiment idea before committing. Your big blank wall video hit the spot too. Considering the picture rail as an experiment ( and maybe permanent plan).
I just found your content recently after taking your style quiz. Love this series. It’s so smartly done and has helped me find direction with redecorating my home. Appreciate you sharing your expertise here.
Change is never an easy step to take, I live at home travelling work throughout the country, but now moving into a permanent space of my own is super scary and jarring, grateful but it does get lonely and scary. Loved your video
I found you through an online article talking about your quiz. I got Vintage Salon, which seems like it fits. I still don't know how to decorate that way and am probably further challenged by the new house we've bought with a thoroughly 80s style and an above-average amount of stained wood...which I do NOT want to paint. I'm enjoying your Home School episodes too. Thank you!
i'm curious what's your final conclusion about the checkerboard trend! i feel like it's one of those versatile patterns that you can endlessly twist to fit any style, or at least i can think of many ways how it could fit into my style that i really like. and yet i'm still on the fence if this is what i REALLY need for my space or is it something else that's missing
wow! a lot of those tips were so unique and unexpected, and super inspiring too - definitely gonna try and find a sewing table like that, if not for a desk then maybe for a vanity table? decor ideas seem super helpful, thanks for giving info on what to search for specifically! so glad i found your channel, it's a treasure
Thank you so much for your comment, I so appreciate this encouragement especially as I'm just starting out. I'm really glad you found the ideas useful!
Found you at the perfect time! I’m so a vintage salon. My parents were 18 years younger than their oldest siblings so I always loved the cool 50’s-60’s and shopping for them. I’m moving this weekend and decided I need new furniture, last move got a new couch I bought from stager is beautiful ✅ could switch out pillows and styles easily ✅ discounted ✅ and uncomfortable as…all get out. 😡I searched for a style quiz and I feel I have the right vibe and need to get caught up on rest of your videos 😊
Hi, I really like to decorate but I agree with you about being careful about what to buy. I have to ask myself do I need this, can I use this? or do I just want this item because I'm attracted to it in someway. In this decorating journey I've learned there are key classic pieces that will make any home look lovely then you can bring in your personality with an unexpected piece or an unexpected color, etc.
Thank you for watching and commenting Tina, I appreciate your feedback!

Great advice, some things sadly we're only meant to admire from a far. Lifestyle and function should always be the main priority. Thank you for another great video.
Great advice & love that you share without all the amazon craze. Look forward to watching you grow. These videos have been helpful for me to re-design my space. 🌟
Hello Cristina, your quiz is awesome!🤩 I took many quizzes online but yours it's definitely the most accurate! Love the explanation and tips, it was really helpful! I got Museum Bookstore and totally fits my aesthetic. Thank you so much, greetings from Italy ❤
Loved this one- such great tips. You have the best inspiration photos/ taste. One great thing you did was giving the search words. Would love to see more of your place as well- the little sneak peek behind you, is so good.
Great video! I like your thoughtful outlook and how you adapted it from your experience. Your video provides multiple ways to approach and schools of thought on color. People have so many different moods, how someone appears at work is different than at play, at home vs on vacation. I think developing the ability to translate a feeling using color, is invaluable to the process.
Its so hard when you wanna thrift and you see an item you love at lest say a flea market. And you buy it and bring it back only to find hmmm actually it doesnt fit the space where I wanted to put it
