The black wagon looks like a colliery coal tub/dram. I have had a couple of steam driver experiences at the Sherwood Forest narrow gauge railway (2ft gauge) and the hour just goes too quickly... I could happily do this sort of thing all day
LNER 4750 made me do a double take, lol. In some shots she looks sort-of-like the GNR large Atlantic derived 2-6-2 that Ivatt vaguely schemed but never built, but the railway website reveals a taper boiler and much smaller wheels (and the name 'Starlight') - something a bit like a cut'n'shut SAR class 11 mikado perhaps. I imagine she pulls well as long as there's enough grip.
It’s great to see this wonderfully compact railway again! I haven’t been there for many years but my friend and I complete with Grandsons as reasons for attending…thoroughly enjoyed our invitation from Alan the owner and his family. I’ll never forget (when we actually found the well hidden railway) that we entered the grounds over a double track 7.25in level crossing. I seem to remember the tunnel actually went under Alan’s house. I’ve never achieved my dream of my own 7.25in steam railway…but at least I’ve ridden on this treasure., thanks for the memories and best wishes to Alan and family. Rob Mannion, Bournemouth.

One place where this would be eminently practicable idea would be on one of the wealthy Cattle Ranches/ Sheep Stations in Australia: thoussnds of acres of free open land. Traveling across the red outback under the sun, camping next to the track under the deep dark sky twinkling with myriad stars...

I've often dreamed of having a working railway on the family farm, and I can definitely imagine it by watching this great video. I only wish it could come true.

If this is the one with the orchard (then) The Railway Channel did a video on it. UPDATE: Scratch that, the one I was talking about is very small gauge ...this one is MASSIVE!!!!!!
