The scene where he describes his first kill is actually really unlikely as we know for a fact he fought in the vale and that Robert defeated 3 armies in a single day near summerhall
His story is about the battle of Summerhall. Also it’s possible he just marched with the Arryn Force but Jon didn’t allow him to actually went into battle.
@@Swiss_femboy if it was a tarly boy that means it was the battle with randyll tarly....the one that he lost So his first was in a battle he lost? He fought 2 battles beforehand
@@tylerfletcher1982 Roberr fought three battles at Summerhall, and he even says it was at Summerhall that he killed his first. Doesent matter if it’s a „Tarly Boy“. Could be a an error in the Series but he says his first kill is at Summerhall.
Unfair and untrue. House stark was a prime example of nobility, and honor is required if you are to be in good standing with your fellow nobles. Also if you are to be in good standing with your people. Tyrants have been killed many times in this story alone, and have been killed in our history too. Strong and honorable leaders are kept around by their people and those around them.
@@ghost-rt4gi Being good, doesn’t equal being dumb/pushover. P.S. I’m not saying Ned was a pushover or dumb, he was just inexperienced in how the political world of King Landing really was.
@@anonymanonym6236 Robert vs Arthur is a tough one, if it was 1 v 1 and no horses and you have Arthur with Dawn and Robert with his warhammer, it'd be REALLY close but Arthur has the speed and skill advantage over Robert, I'd say Arthur wins, on horseback, yeah Robert wins easily.
@@Hallowshell The kingdom was ruined by Cersei more than anything. 50% of the problems of Robert's peaceful reign would have been removed if he'd married almost anyone else. Even the cook.
No he was a smart tactician and a good warrior. But as a man his morals were completely messed up. He was a whore monger, and a glutton. He fought an entire war over a delusion of a women who didn't even want him being owed to him, he applauded the murder of children and the rape of their mother by a savage, he blamed children for the fault of their father and chased them till they fell to the brink of insanity in a far away land. I wouldn't call him a good man, he was a good warlord.
@@daemontarg000 okay then “one of” the greatest warlords Westeros has ever seen. Alongside half the wildling commanders, Jon Snow, Ned & Robb Stark, Grey Worm, Jorah, Geor Mormont, Ramsay, the two guys you said, Qhorin Halfhand, Blackfish, Robert Baratheon, Tywin & Jamie, Barristan Selmy, Arthur Dayne, the Hound, Bronn, etc.
