I was with matua Hori from Te Kuiti...Patch Boris and Phil Sissy Nessa and Chantel....I still have fond memories of these days....x Found out my kuia Is from Tu Te Ao Marae....Te Hina Mihipeka Takiwa...nee Hirini....what a coincidence no wonder I felt at home..... I'm named after Mihipeka...mauri ora!!!

I was 8 years old when i first learnt this waiata, when this kapa haka first started man it brought back a lot of memories hard out and also thinking of unkel ben at the time brought me back in time. I still can remember the words i miss listening to aunty hine voice itz the best in the whole wide world for a maori person to have a voice like that i love it

Bro I used to paddle on Taheretikitiki, the last time I paddled on Taheretiki was at Pukawa, that was rough as, the locals said that was the worse they had seen the lake, and yet we not only got to Pukawa we did a tupuna salute and all on the breakers, proud day for Tainui, awesome to see Tainui rep again in this vid.
