Hellooo, and thank you for stopping by. Our names our Helena (she/her) and Martyn (he/him), we are a married couple living in the UK. After years of watching RU-vid together we were inspired in 2016 to start our own channel with the idea of documenting our lives, capturing memories and celebrating our creative passions. We share everything from everyday life, to big travel adventures, and everything in between. We started our channel with vlogs from our first trip to a Disney park, Walt Disney World in Florida, and we are extremely fortunate to have built a wonderful community online ever since. We're thrilled you're interested in becoming part of our RU-vid family.
It was the highlight of my day that I met Helena at Legoland today whilst visiting with my family. Thank you Helena for taking the time to have a chat with my daughter about Disneyland paris. She absolutely loved it and she won't stop talking that she met you You have made our day so so special, thank you ❤
On our June trip my partner got really really sick, so I ended up spending nearly 2 whole park days myself as he didn't want me just sat in the hotel while he slept. Its so odd bring there yourself!
I don't know why, but I'm still surprised they haven't had a Ninjago show yet. Absolutely love the pirate show for the plot and stunts though, will never forget the "stand forward to volunteer" part of the old pirate show, where everyone but the captain stepped BACK 😂 The Lego Friends is great for songs too
I know it's not everyone's favourite but I'm happy that Illuminations is back. I think we have more of a connection to that show, as our first DLP visit was during the 25th anniversary. I enjoyed Dreams but Illuminations does feel slightly more spectacular, if a little less emotional.

as a ninjago fan i am absolutely desperate to get back to legoland for this event!! i remember the last ninjago event they did back in like 2015? 2016?ish and the special ninja show they did when the ride opened. this all looks like so much fun! <3

We were there on Monday and Tuesday this week. We saw Helena in the puppet show and, after meeting you both in DLP in May, the youngest wanted to say hello but we just missed her! Enjoyed the new pirate show. Don't think I've ever been as soaked on a log flume as the Legoland one!
You can email downtown i managed tonget one that way and i have also walked in during the day and asked if it was possible to book for 6pm and i got a booking that way, ive been really lucky
It looks like for short queues you should have visited during the Olympics. I'm hoping on one of your short trips with this pass, you get to try out some new food venues.

I hope Helena has made a speedy recovery bless her! I too caught COVID on our Xmas trip, I was gutted to miss out on times in the parks. Also, you guys mentioned that you wanted to try the buffet and downtown. I heard a tip that you can turn up just before it opens at 6pm, and they should be able to sit you. Apparently, they hold back a few tables for walk ins. I'm going to give it a try in a few weeks, so will report back if it works 🤞😊
For the million splashes of colour show we recommend being inside the inner circle in front of the castle. You can move from stage to stage and catch all the characters. If it’s the normal Disney starts on parade then we tend to watch from near the entrance to the park. Hope that helps. Thank you for watching 😀 x

I've just returned home (literally 45 mins ago) after spending 4 days in Disneyland Paris as my first time ever (alone also) and I was honestly overwhelmed at the experience. Hope all is OK but thanks for making videos like this!!
So sorry to hear Helena got poorly. On our last trip, I started feeling poorly the first night there so everyday after, we slept in a bit and I came back to the room mid afternoon to watch Disney (watched all the mighty ducks movies again) and carol stayed in the parks until later. She brought me peach teas and Starbucks cheese n ham toasties 💕 When we got home, I unfortunately realised I’d caught covid for the first time 😞
Even though the new annual passes are more expensive, it’s still been totally worth it for us too, especially as we stay offsite - but usually still within walking distance to the parks. I am addicted to those Casa de Coco burritos too - maybe they put something in them, like the White Witch did to the Turkish delight in Narnia 🤭 #delicious We have never been able to book for the Downtown buffet prior to our trips, but have always been able to snag a table when we ask at reception - and they have offered us a choice of multiple evenings too. Aww so sad your trip got cut short but most importantly hope helena is feeling better now ☺️ loving Martyn's lil solo adventure tho, have spent a few hours on my ones before in the parks as well and is definitely a very different vibe experiencing it on your own but for sure worth doing. And honestly could not have said it better myself when Martyn described the feeling going into the parks for the first time, like people ask me why I keep going back to disney and thats exactly it 🙌❤
Summer COVID? Hope not, but rates went back up again with travelers from all over the world. We were in Ireland on a bus tour in June and my husband got very sick. I believe it was COVID, but neither an Emergency Clinic nor the hospital would test him. Just called it a "lung infection" and prescribed an antibiotic.
You guessed right. Helena tested once we got home. Helena was resting at home for a long week. Sorry to hear you went through that. Hope everything is okay now. ❤️ thank you for watching x
@@sohelenaandmartyn Oh my goodness I hope she's feeling better now and hope you're not next! We had to cut our trip short and return home to the U.S. wearing our N95 masks which we had been wearing the entire tour except for a dinner show and when we were out in wide open places like the Cliffs of Moher or Loch Lomond. COVID rates have gone up here in the U.S. too including the Hawaiian Islands and Dengue Fever has spread from Florida to Maine, but we don't want to damage the tourism economy.

I learned from a taxi driver in May that the Hipark Adagio is Black (Noir) and the one you saw, Martyn, near where you parked, is Red (Rouge). Important if you ever take a taxi from the park at the end of the night!😆 Also, been finding the best price for Adagio is via their website. Going back in November and saving €100 a night with their website versus Booking.
