The northside was a easier place to live when the population was less than 15,000,,,,150,000 people there plus the rest of Duval, Nassau, Clay and St. Johns counties is why I left in 2007 and have enjoyed a less populated area.
Yes population has definitely went up tremendously and continuing to go up. The smaller cities outside of Jax are becoming very popular like Yulee, callahan and Middleburg . Glad you are enjoying your area…., did you come and visit Jax any ?
Traffic sucks! Only getting worse! Poorly built homes on wet sand and too close together! Low wages for skilled labor!! Be prepared to be your own boss
🤣🤣♥️ You can't beging to explain O.O. traffic to someone who has never been there! It is a nightmare!!! The mall traffice, the baby base & those coming up from Middleburg & Greencive all through the same area! Roosevelt is not much better. 😭😭

It’s a little pricey to live here but it’s still a lot cheaper than where I used to live so it was a no brainer moving here. It’s a really beautiful area.
Durbin Pavilion is pretty great. I live about ten minutes away and it has everything and it’s still growing. It’s beautifully landscaped. They definitely put some thought into it.
Recently moved to Fruit Cove from out of state. We love it here. It’s pricier than we initially wanted but it’s beautiful here and it’s located so close to Jax that I can go to a Jaguars game and be home easily within an hour of the game ending. There are a lot of great stores and nice restaurants popping up. Jax has all kinds of cool free things like the Art Market on Saturdays and Friendship Fountain which also features live music on many nights and the walks along the river downtown. Jax has a lot of the trappings of a large city without the traffic. I moved from a densely populated area and it took over an hour to dive the ten miles between my house and job. Even when there is “traffic” it’s not nearly as bad in comparison to other large cities. I very rarely hear police sirens and all the kids I’ve met have been respectful and well behaved. If you’re looking for a Leave it to Beaver type of area this is the spot for you.
Yes very safe, everyone is friendly and minds their business. My friends and I have never had any issues. You guys would love it. Feel free to reach out and connect anytime.
thanks for the video-I am looking now at new builds in Tributary in Yulee-anyone live there and pros/cons? My realtor and I have been there a few times and I am looking at David Weekley homes-it seems nice, lots of new stores and restaurants and convenient to Jax and Jax airport-any odors from the old paper mills etc? I was impressed so far but would love feedback/comments since I am not from FL. thanks!
Yulee is really nice a great suburb of Jax it is very laid back and close to Fernandina Beach / Amelia island which in my opinion is the real draw for entertainment and upscale type living with the fancy hotels and golfing. Yulee is definitely a Top place to live an only getting better . I think the only con is the traffic for school and after work since the rapid growth
At one time they were going to have a super fast train to Orlando and Tampa and Rick Scott voted it down as governor . Orlando has one which goes to miami it is really nice ….. jax is next……
Yes 100% I highly recommend it , no problems at all. I have been coming to florida since 5 years old I’m over 50 zero issues, the news overstates stuff florida is a very diverse state , it is the southern melting pot …….
My friend you need to check your prices.if you make 100k and your significantly other makes the same add gas taxes, inflation, maintenance, hoa fees that only continue you could stay for 19 months before foreclosure with 2 kids.median price today 510k
I lived there for 6 years , I’m surprised you mention crime number 1# , and yes new construction is about time, it’s a wonderful city thanks for information it nice to meet a hustle type of realtor. The weather is awesome great video I’m in west Palm Beach now but your making miss it , by far Duval is the cheapest
Very great information.. i have been here for quite few years but still learning about my city, but have ppl coming to visit as tourist from Europe any extra info you can help and add in our list to go and visit so they can enjoy our beautiful city?… because the first thing ppl say its nothing to do or nowhere to go at Jacksonville.
I looked at Silver Leaf and Wildlight, Wildlight def seems to be more manageable in size and is close to airport/jax/beaches. My only drawback is the houses are SOO close together. Practically townhouses!
Looking to rent a small house mid-westside that looks all good and is cheap. Issue is one google search brings up daily shootings, not exaggerating, like DAILY! That's not cool. Can you expound on the crime? I'm from Brooklyn so I don't scare easy but I don't need the hassles. What's the real skinny my brother? DM ok pls. Thx!
Jax used to be very affordable, not anymore. Prices everywhere have skyrocketed with no extra space. You're paying so much more and it's highway robbery. All that money with no stove. How are people supposed to cook? That defeats the purpose of privacy.
When it comes to weather in Jax, the summer is the time to be concerned with the heat. The other months are comfortable. Spring and Fall 70 - 80's highs. In the winter, 60 - 80's as highs with lows at 30 - 50s typically. If you don't like the weather, wait 20 minutes.
This is not really true. Please get a map. I can't pick this apart. There's too much. The overcrowding is because no one wants to live in Jacksonville.
