Well Mike, you certainly scattered your fair share of "good seed in the field" during your lifetime. May the rest of your admirers contribute but a small portion of what you have inspired others to do.
I generally love the Beatles, but could never reconcile them being so ‘arty’ as to include a flamenco (sampled) excerpt, rather than one of them just playing an actual guitar intro, of any level of complexity or simplicity. Ok, they were never going to play it live, but it still sticks in the craw.
I have listened to the Moody Blues since about 1968... and I really liked them and their songs and music, but I didn't realize until many years later that many or most of their songs were about TM (Transcendental Meditation) etc etc which saddened me quite a bit as I am a Christian ✝️ follower of Jesus Christ. I guess I didn't truly realize it until I actually found out what the lyrics to their songs actually meant as I matured and grew older. One day a few years ago I was reading an article about Mike Pinder and his involvement with the Moody Blues where Mike said the words,---- "Still lost."--- and it truly bothered me. I was always carried away and encaptured by the their music and lyrics without truly realizing how subtly dangerous it is for a person's soul. And as the years grew on I began to realize this more and more that it's all part of the "New Age" which has many facets including TM. The Moody Blues had many questions about the meaning of life and why we are here on earth 🌎 and about eternity and what is on the other side of life as we know It and desperately looking for THE ANSWER. And as I began to realize this, I began to pray for The Moody Blues band and its members as they were/are seeking out the Truth and enlightenment as I believe they were deceived themselves in heading in the wrong direction for the answer and as they passed this deception on their listeners and Fan base. In the song One Step by Mike Pinder, some of the lyrics to the song are basically ----- "life is our savior..."---- And to those reading my comments, I am not trying to make you angry but we all need to realize what those lyrics actually mean. 🧐 ----"I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no man goes to the Father except by Me."---- Jesus Christ John 14:6 In other words, NOBODY gets into heaven or goes into any kind of eternal bliss without Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Jesus is the only "Savior" ---- He IS Life 🧬 I still continue to pray for the Moody Blues and their Fans --- that they would truly find out that Jesus Christ is THE TRUTH ---- the ONLY TRUTH ---- there's only ONE TRUTH!!! Do NOT take a chance with your eternal soul and go to hell without Jesus Christ. Seek Jesus Christ and surrender your soul/life to Him now BEFORE you die, my friends. ✝️💟
Absolute tosh. No god. Jesus not confirmed. Certainly not resurrected. Religion is bunkum and leads to wars more than anything. My hope is that one day, preferably soon, religion will become nothing more than a bad memory. Humanity will be better without it.

The original Mellotron was a fancy tape player. Each key plays a different tape. Most people used the tapes with one long note, but some of the tapes had recordings of people playing little flourishes or rhythm patterns like this.
Fun fact: the opening flute flourish from The Kinks' song Phenomical Cat from Village Green Preservation Society also crops up in the original extended version of The Beatles' Flying.
