Yeah, supposedly it's going live VERY soon and if the comments I've heard from other racers are any indicator, a lot of people are going to debate not racing nearly as much so we all lose
agree with you… for all the anticipation, the new hud doesn’t give me much more than before and I find the climb info a bit intrusive on screen. Currently resisting the update in my iPad :)
Yeah, it feels...unfinished. Like the elevation data could have just been an addition to the map (have the elevation on the map have the same colors and be zoomable or customizable). Very weird.
@@GeneralElost The guy I battled for the GC win the last two times in those races got demolished by B riders who are put into C cat now. He gave up after two races where he ended 23rd.
No problem! So the metrics you see are from Sauce for Zwift. It's a $2 subscription via Patreon. As for my PC, it's nothing special. I believe it's a Ryzen CPU and an old 1080ti Graphics card so nothing current gen or even last gen. Thankfully Zwift isn't too taxing. Definitely lemme know if you have any other questions though!
Bro. The person riding next to you in the cave, their seat is too high. Knee almost at full extension, with toes already pointing down, and far reach to the handlebars.
Yeah, that's my wife. She's riding my old bike and hasn't been riding for a while so we haven't had a chance to adjust things to match. Appreciate the tips!
Haha yeah, I tried just leaning over the bars to catch my breath and that was NOT working XD It's definitely on my list to do a walk through of the "studio" soon. Just have to find the time
It was super close! I had the same idea you called out in your video. I debated whether I should use the aero and try to close the gap but figured I wouldn't make it or I'd get dropped harder not long after It was my recent PB. All time was 1:54 but that was like 2 years ago
@@everydayzwifter With a time like that you could definitely make it over with the front group. Just need to have a good day for the legs! I set my PB two years ago, a few pounds lighter so I probably won't be able to touch it easily.
Thank you! It was one heck of a challenge. Right now Cat C boundaries are so wide open. I'd definitely say to give it a shot. Worst case, you get a good workout and an FTP test haha.
I had same experience. Was out the back in exactly the same place as you, and then struggled to hold wheels on all the following groups. Just had to grind my way around. Keep smiling!
Appreciate knowing that! It was so mentally tough to keep fighting when you're struggling. I think my group fighting to catch the 1st group did in what little I had lef. Kudos to you for fighting too!
I experienced the same before, I learnt that at 2km to go when everyone is slowing I would go at the front to anticipate. The second time worked ✌️ I just subscribed 🫡
I was in that race, and agree it was an weird one. It was totally chill until the aqueduct climb, then super hard as we chased the two-man break, then surprisingly chill on les intestines until it wasn't. At 36:15, the guy who ended up winning the race dropped a feather and launched a strong attack going up that final kicker. The pack surged in response, and it looks like it took you a few seconds to boost your power, by which time you had lost your position. I thought you did a great job to get back into a good position for the sprint. I share your struggles with les intestines. I've found it's really key to be in the first 5 wheels or so for the two kickers at the end because someone is almost always going to take a flyer on one (or both) of them. Thanks for sharing the video. It was fun to watch it back.
Super thorough breakdown! I love it and you're probably right. I think I legitimately zoned out for some reason and just missed it. I'll get it right one of these times 😅 Good racing with you!
Yeah, I think the first hit was the chill start lulled my legs. Hitting the KOM, I knew I was in for it. And then I have NO clue what happened in the esses XD I guess I fell asleep!?
Always fun to watch your live streams🎉 Great racing,11th in the GC 💪 If you are happy to share: I was wondering, which software / service you use for the multistreaming? And these animations are an OBS plug-in? Thanks Georg
SORRY! I missed this. (Been sick) Thank you for the kind words. It was tough but super fun! For multistream, I use restream which is paired with OBS, basically it's a native option for it to just stream from OBS to restream's services. And the animations are from a program called Lumia Stream. Some animations I've made myself, and some are available through the program. Definitely don't hesitate to shoot me a DM on Discord, Twitter, whatever if you have any tech questions. I don't mind helping others get set up.
@@GeneralElost Thanks for the detailed reply. No worries, I hope you are better now and soon back on the bike. I missed the Tiny Races Stream yesterday. Do you stream on Restream in 720p or 1080p? Thanks! And what's the link to your discord server? I was looking, but couldn't find it.... (maybe just me not searching right)
@@GeorgAndTheBike Slowly feeling better by the day. Here's hoping it continues! I typically stream in 1080p, just because I have the bandwidth/internet to do it. Nothing wrong streaming in 720p though. And the link for the Discord is dsc.gg/TLO - I'll have to see if I have it somewhere on RU-vid. If not, I'll get it added!
@@GeorgAndTheBike That sounds about right. And thats the plan! I typically aim for Monday/Wednesday evening my time and Saturday morning for the Tiny Races
Perfect timing putting this up, I got to watch just before doing my race tonight. Thought your group was gonna gobble up those 2 out front on the way from Volcano banner to the Esses but no-one upped the pace much, nice top 10 finish though
Haha, glad I can help! I was definitely thinking it was going to be close with those 2 but the desire to chase was pretty slim. I know I was personally still feeling a bit empty from a stomach bug over the weekend so I was content to just sit in (oops)
I was dreading this one. I've never had a great time up Box Hill. Small group definitely didn't help either. I had watched your two attempts and knew I was in for hell haha
