VV was ok when in decent nick. I'm guessing your main issue would be mank in the fuel tank.....keep an eye on your fuel filter. My sister had an X plate mk3 with a 1.1 cvh (the only one I've ever seen), that ran so sweet & was mechanically silent. Whatever it is needs to be a sleeper. Some sort of 4wd turbo, maybe a 1.5 3 pot from a Mk8 ST with a Haldex 4wd setup, stock banded steels & pea shooter exhaust.

Is your gear change sound? Looks like it was slightly more tricky than needed to be - last thing you need on track is thinking about working around niggles.

Keep it original. Buy something already messed with to do your projects on.
