Hello, medaka FANS!! This is SOU from Medaka Momiji😊🍁 I am exporting high quality medaka from Jpan and will keep uploading informative and educational medaka topic here in RU-vid channel! Have a nice medaka day!👋 Instagram instagram.com/medaka_momiji?igsh=NGVhN2U2NjQ0Yg%3D%3D& Facebook facebook.com/profile.php?id=61555640699073 #medaka #japanesericefish #japanesekoifish #japanesekillfish #killifish #japan #koicarpfish #japanesekoi #guppy #guppyfish #goldfish #aquarium
@medaka_momiji Will a light grey have a similar effect as a light blue container? Also will a dark grey have same effect as black? I would like to use dark grey instead of black to keep temperatures better during summer. Thanks so much!
@@S-scapes Thank you for your comment! No worries👍I didn't mention it. So, I recommend using white or clear container when they are fry. maybe until the become 2cm, and move to black container👍

I'm not a big fan of frills, or Long fins in general. I like the short, fast natural fins on fish like Killifish and Minnows feels more wild and natural.
hello from Denmark. a question about eggs. when the female wanders around with her eggs, are they fertilized, or does she still have to mate with a male
@@Medaka_Momiji Hi , Medaka love their pond and bought some more, collecting eggs since a couple of weeks and today got our very first hatched egg. Me and wife already had guppies and many different corys but quit years ago. With medakas I'm loving fishes again, never had any deceased till now 😅. Thank you again for your videos bro , following all of your suggestions and explanations
There is some information about this here but I don't think breeders in the US understand it well. They frequently use clear plastic containers, then their medaka end up looking pale. I wonder what effect keeping medaka in an aquarium indoors is having on my medaka. They are still young, they get good sunlight, but the fish's color is not good. I'm about to move them outdoors into black containers so maybe some darker colors will show up. Thanks!
Sorry for late reply💦 Thank you for your comment. keeping medaka indoor affect medaka in some ways. for example, the water deteriorate quickly compared to keeping outdoor. Green water also make medaka color darker. if you want to get strong color, I recommend using green water as well👍
thank you for all the great information, i learn alot from your channel. i have several kinds of medaka's now, but 2 of them are mine favorite. The daruma saphire & 3trico color/saphire. Both of them has such a beautyfull shine. well, cant wait till the next dept video, have a nice day 😊
Beautiful fish, beautiful colors 👍 But how do you breed, without plants in the containers? My medaka wont breed, I bought them as eggs, 98% hatched, almost all of them grew up, from last year. But no eggs so far. 😭 200 l fish tank, with plants and dark ground. 🤷♀️
I have heard that it is possible to buy Medaka eggs and have them shipped. This would be my only method of getting Medaka, because of where I live. How is that possible? Can you do a video about that, please?
Thank you for making this content. It is difficult to find good information about Medaka fin, colors, and genetics online. I love to learn, and appreciate the history, as well.
Your video was great. Question, I received eggs from a breeder. Some seem to have filament on them, but they are also eyed up already. Should I just leave them as is at this point? Thank you! :)
Hello, I've been watching and learnt how to breed Medaka fish. I have two types of Medaka 1. Has a blueish shiny stripe along it's back. 2. Which was labelled Platinum they look white, no shiny blueish line. Could you help identify which ones I have. I'd have liked to send a photo, but there's no way.
Just subscribed to your channel, didn’t know there were so many types of medaka fish. Really like your outdoor breeding setup and I’m looking forward to more videos from you! :)
Oh, sorry for late reply💦 and Thank you for your comment! yes, there are so many types of medaka in Japan😁 thank you anyway! let's learn medaka together✨
