This girl is a spoiled brat and yes, her life is not been perfect but it’s nothing compared to what most teenagers go through and don’t act all the way that she has. Saying things like he shattered my windpipe, come on! I committed suicide 28 times. Oh my gosh, what drama. They may not be perfect parents, but her behavior is not warranted by the lifestyle she was given.
If Phil thought the sister was telling the truth and she was really a victim, he would never speak to her that way. He’d be FAR more diplomatic. He’s a forensic behaviourist. He’s trained in lie detection. I think she’s definitely fabricating the whole thing, I think Phil can DEFINITELY see it.
Funny how Dr Phil’s blanket response to wayward teens is STILL ‘send em to the ranch’, even though those places have been proven to be hotbeds of child abuse where the kids are forced to even lie to their parents about how ‘good’ it is. It’s also a HUGE coincidence that almost all of the ‘help’ he gives people involves either one of his products or one of his cronies - either publicising one of their facilities, his sons show, Doctor on Demand, one of his books, one of his publishing companies books…it’s all about him increasing hos considerable wealth.

Summer IS a bit of a liar. She exaggerates and creates hyperbolic situations…BUT THEN SHES A KID! ‘He shattered my windpipe’ - well, no he didn’t. ‘Mom dislocated my shoulder’ - nope. How do you get ‘pretty much raped’? That’s what happens when you expect adult behaviour from children. That’s what happens when you put adult concerns upon a kids shoulders.
The way she dresses and wears make up, she’s too young. But it’s nice to look after yourself. But she gives the impression she’s older. Not safe. It’s her own doing. Sadly. 🇬🇧

I always make sure I tell my absolutely physically gorgeous daughter how resourceful, kind, creative, giving daughter how amazing she is. These are her most important qualities of a person. Being beautiful is a product of genes that she had nothing to do about.

My husband and I have raised 3 kind, smart, funny, higher educated, nature loving, financially successful boys into men. Two have been married for a decade. The youngest is in a long term relationship. Here’s some advice to anyone who reads this: You gotta make sure your kids know that you’re willing to love anyone they love based on the fact that girl loves your son. If you have a gay son, you have to be willing to love their partner based on the fact that they love your kid. What I told our boys was that so long as whoever they’re with is kind to old people, animals, babies, and the earth…and so long as they’re trying to better themselves instead of destroying themselves…they’re more than welcome into our family. You can’t just be an ally for your kids anymore, you have to be an ally for the person who’s now putting up with all the things about your kids that drove you nuts. And you have to find things in common with your kids and do those things with them. I’m a woman who hiked, fishes, kayaks, sits in the woods with bears and elk, and I’ve stood on top of more mountains at sunrise with my kids than I can even count. I ended up being a wildlife photographer who lives in camo instead of the girly girl clothes I was into before I married a man and then had 3 boys . You gotta wake up and choose peace, and in return..you get peace!
I don’t think Dr. Phil really acknowledged the parents’ plight. I’ve had an out of control daughter and it isn’t as cut and dried as he puts it. Sorry. Not feeling it from you, Phil. Yes, they are over their heads! Babies don’t come with a users manual. As hard as we try and as much as we love, sometimes it isn’t enough.
If they pay for the phone… it’s there’s to takeaway. If they pay for the home she lives in.. take the doors off the hinges. As long as the bathroom has a door for privacy to use the toilet, shower, and get dressed it’s all that’s required by law. Strip the room of everything except a bed, bedding, and a week’s worth of clothes. We did that with my stepson when he became violent and was out of control with us and his four sisters. Start taking control back.
