Hi maam. I am PhD candidate in India Punjabi University, Patiala. I am Ethiopian who went to India getting scholarship. I found your presentation nice. But I have submitted my synopsis that has one dependent variable and 3 independent variables all of whose data are collected through likert scale each having multiple items. I planned to do multiple linear regression in my synopsis but after I attended yours and others RU-vid presentations, I have come to the conclusion that I cannot. Now, I have decided to analyze my data via ordinal regression. However, I have not got enough information how to conduct it . all presentations of IRT graded response are about discriminations, difficulty level of items, guessing and ability of persons. hence where can I get the presentation focused on dependent and independent variables and make regression analysis? please help me maam. and the members of the team please help me

Great talk, thanks for uploading! Regarding @56:05, it is possible to get the marginal distribution for the scores, however it must be back transformed form the reported table of expected counts. Here's and example of how to do this: ```{r} library(mirt) mod <- mirt(Science, 2) #' # EAPsum table of values based on total scores (fs <- fscores(mod, method = 'EAPsum', full.scores = FALSE)) # ACOVs, in case they are needed (acovs <- fscores(mod, method = 'EAPsum', full.scores = FALSE, return.acov=TRUE)) # convert expected counts bak into marginal probability distribution fs <- within(fs, `P(y)` <- expected / sum(observed)) fs ## output: Sum.Scores F1 F2 SE_F1 SE_F2 observed expected std.res P(y) 4 4 2.41320761 -0.319859419 0.7285323 0.8044752 2 0.01350174 17.0959550 3.444321e-05 5 5 2.14010301 -0.242919289 0.7472117 0.8636042 1 0.13731966 2.3280030 3.503053e-04 6 6 1.85277404 -0.186059163 0.7743624 0.9297630 2 0.76782832 1.4061743 1.958746e-03 7 7 1.54781230 -0.160325565 0.8025877 0.9919208 1 3.10449511 1.1944072 7.919630e-03 8 8 1.22884758 -0.150677952 0.8198553 1.0288133 11 9.77712774 0.3910889 2.494165e-02 9 9 0.90930704 -0.127989594 0.8250019 1.0416191 32 24.63383933 1.4841409 6.284143e-02 10 10 0.59623280 -0.073612174 0.8191928 1.0301015 58 50.29601323 1.0862974 1.283062e-01 11 11 0.28209797 -0.006658871 0.8032034 1.0058173 70 81.76433690 1.3010246 2.085825e-01 12 12 -0.07050756 0.030459192 0.7825413 0.9756703 91 95.64246277 0.4747042 2.439859e-01 13 13 -0.45683842 0.039879699 0.7901622 0.9936328 56 70.92807413 1.7725345 1.809390e-01 14 14 -0.86497815 0.046956330 0.7931629 0.9962921 36 38.30985755 0.3731899 9.772923e-02 15 15 -1.28256848 0.071564326 0.7828154 0.9391234 20 14.38562886 1.4802555 3.669803e-02 16 16 -1.46832164 0.438053346 0.7049926 0.7944140 12 2.23951467 6.5222052 5.713048e-03 ``` HTH to those who are interested.

"Methodology is a tool, not the answer!" well said! It reminds me of a famous statistical quote "garbage in, garbage out". If the design of an exam is flawed, there is nothing much we could do...
